Great restaurants - all kinds of food.
Great restaurants - all kinds of food. The Walking Tour is a must - the guides take you through the history of this preserved town. Also I highly recommend a local winery - Luiz Porto it offers tastings and a tour of their wine making facility for small groups. The owner or his wife host.

My stay was too short to give an appropriate review of the place. However, I can say that the city is definitely worth stopping by, it's quite and feels more secure than many other cities in Brazil. You'll need good walking shoes; lots of hills, and both the roads and sidewalks are made of very uneven cobblestones. While feasible, moving around the city by car is very difficult and not recommended. There's some great restaurant on the "Direita" street.

Tiradentes is a lovely colonial town with beautiful baroque churches and a bucolic feel about it. We recommend a visit during the week (ideal length of stay: 4 nights), especially in autumn, winter and spring (May through October). Avoid weekends, as the town tends to become crowded with visitors. The place is totally safe. We also recommend renting a car and driving to it, as bus connections are not convenient (a bus ride from Rio takes 6 hours and leaves you at nearby Sao Joao Del Rei, being necessary to take a taxi to reach one's destination). Not to be missed: a hike to Serra de Sao Jose and a dip in one of its water holes.

Highlight was guided tour about the Becos (or ‘backroads’ of the town, done by a superb and astonishingly knowledgeable guide by the name of Fabricio Rodrigues from Real Turismo
Next highlight was a 5-hour hike on Serra de Sao José
Many Great dining options, also variety of shops selling local arts & crafts
The room was large and very well maintained. The breakfast had a very large selection of baked goods as well as other foods. Coffee and snacks were available throughout the day. The property was wonderful. The highlight was definitely the host, who went out of his way to help me get transportation to and from Tiradentes. He began assisting me via WhatsApp before I even arrived. He is incredible!
This is a very charming hotel - and fits perfectly with the feel of the town. It's so close to the main tourist attraction - the church. It's a short walk from central area of the town. The room is old style and we had an incredible view of the mountains. The breakfast is good and the ladies working there are lovely. I was very happy with my stay.
Fantastic pousada on the edge of Tiradentes.. Beautiful surroundings, very quiet location with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and view of the town and church from the pool. Delicious breakfast, clean and spacious room and helpful owner who recommended many trails around... Some start literally next door. Will definitely come back!
Very kind and polite staff, great breakfast and very beautiful property, colonial style. Walking distance from the main square. I like the fact it's a family business that puts effort into making it a nice place to say. The hotel also adds a touch of history to the say, lifting and shedding light on the colonial period of Brazil.
You can go to Tiradentes "downtown" by foot, it's a less than 10 min walk. The staff is great also, very helpful. We were received with kindness and some treaties (chocolate). Breakfast have all the necessary to start a good day of exploring, with personalized scramble eggs made by "order" (free).
Excellent breakfast, so many options and local treats I didn't know what to eat first! Super friendly and welcoming staff, they made us feel special and looked after. Lovely traditional decor with some vintage touches. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone going to Tiradentes!
We really adored our stay at Pouso Alforria. The rooms are spotlessly clean (and air conditioned) and it’s really wonderful to open the doors on the varanda to so much bird song in the morning. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Tiradentes.
The property is one of the most beautiful landscape I have seen. staff is superb and the manager is impressive with her knowledge on tiradentes history and the extremely good taste on design furniture that creates a beautiful atmosphere on the guesthouse
Very comfortable hotel with high international standards! Very nice and competent staff! Excellent breakfast with the best specialties from Minas Gerais and more!! Great location and very nice outdoor facilities. Highly recommended boutique hotel !!
Extremely clean, super breakfast.
We stayed in Tiradentes in August only fir 1 night, (we were the only guests) but staff has been very friendly and prepared for us the best breakfast we ever had in Brazil.
we stayed for 2 nights in Tiradentes and the hotel is exceptional. location is also very near to the historical center with a 5-minute walk. price is very fair considering the facilities and location.
The staff at the hotel was really kind and polite.
The location is also good, if not great, being only 10 minutes walking to the old city centre.
The breakfast is also nice.
