Angra is a good place to stay for 1-3 days before going to Ilha Grande. If you stay in an apartment in Piratas Mall, as we did, you are 5 blocks away from the Bus station, where you can take a bus to Paraty. And also 25 minutes away from the Port, Santa Lucia, where you can buy excursions to the islands, which are beautiful. I did not go to the beach in Angra, just took a boat excursion (excellent) and went to Paraty.PaulaArgentina - 10Scored 10

Paradise started here! I guess there is no other description to the place. Where can I start it? Its millions of islands and beaches with foaming greenish water? The forest that ends up right at the beach? Or all the fauna you can find just swimming in ANY beach (like turtles, fish, crabs, corals, you name it!) Angra is beautiful and i have coming here for family visits for 10 years, but crime has hit Angra bad and i am scared to return. Many special forces, BOP, and police lined the streets. Angra dos Reis is a little different from a lot of places in Brazil. The locals talk to, and are very friendly towards tourists. Every restaurant/shop we visited were extremely helpful...and patient with non-Portuguese speaking visitors. Scenery is fantastic and food is excellent.

Our room was comfortable with a balcony and sea view which we enjoyed very much. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with a good variety of options. Plus, we ate two dinners at the hotel which were two of the best meals we ate in Brazil. Plus, dining by candlelight with an ocean view can’t be beat! I hope to return one day, and in the meantime I will recommend it to my friends.

Great sea view from the balcony, have taken wonderful photos! This place is just amazing! I liked this hotel so much that i even booked it for the second time! Lived in room 1 and room 5, both very good, room 5 consists of 2 stories (first and second flour). Stuff was extremely helpful carrying my heavy suitcase! Thank you very much! Staying in your hotel was unforgettable !

Due to the possibility to share pool area of the nearby hotel it is possible to enjoy an amazing view from the infinity pool. This was also the place where we enjoyed the New Year’s Eve. Another nice thing about the property itself is that from both rooms (bed room and living) you can enter the balcony.
