The hotel is Spotless and new. Hotel is owned by a European and was built in 2019. It's simple but certainly up to US/European standards. Comfortable bed, great breakfast, staff was very helpful & friendly. It’s in a Quiet location. They offered a secure day storage. I was met at the train station with my name on a sign, which made it easy to find. Some reviews complain about hot water but if you let the faucet run for a few minutes, it’s plenty hot, the shower head and pressure are both great.

Machu Picchu was completely abandoned for nearly 400 years.
Machu Picchu was completely abandoned for nearly 400 years. There are no know written records of who built it, what it was used for or the part it played in Inca history. The guides are totally speculative. They have good stories..... but completely from their imagination. Do your homework and prepare for the visit.

It might seem almost heretical to not give MP top marks and to admit I planned too much time there, but it is really only the sanctuary that is worth the visit (for me). Had I been up to the mountain climb then another day would have been worth it. It is probably best to arrive the night before, get up early to visit in the morning, then leave after lunch.
Overall, I may have been slightly underwhelmed as it was a rubbish day, overcast and a bit drizzly so the views were less than ideal. Also even taking the bus up to the sanctuary there is still al lot of climbing and at that altitude...!
Hotel staff were incredibly kind. They held our luggage in a secure room prior to check in and helped us to navigate to the hotel, which is centrally located.
We (10 people) had arrived early to Aguas Calientes to try and buy Machu Picchu tickets in person. We were unable to get tickets for the next day, so we decided to leave back to Cusco that night. We didn’t stay the night for that reason, but used the rooms for naps and showers. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable with warm blankets. Showers were hot. Solid place, good people.
Very nice litte hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo! Only 5 or 10 minutes walking to the train station, the artisan market, and the restaurants, shops. etc. The room was very tastefully decorated, the bed was super-comfortable, and the TV had DirecTV channels (perfect for relaxing after a day in Machu Picchu). We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the river, which at the time was raging! The view was spectacular. I slept very well with the sound of the river. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help with recommendations.
The building backs onto the orchid preserve so it was in a quiet neighborhood. The top floor of the hotel has a patio with kitchen overlooking a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains and city with the sound of the town's creek cascading through - the most spectacular view I've seen. The room was spacious with all conveniences. Because Aguas Calientes is a 'pedestrian-only' city, walking through the neighborhoods was very tranquil. Manager Carlos, a former guide, was very helpful and informative.
Nice hotel for a very good price; comfortable room; very friendly staff - as we went to Machu Picchu at 6am they prepared for us breakfast to take away which was very nice. We also could pick up our luggage later. The location of the hotel was very good, with nice view over the Aguas Calientes - this town was a big surprise for us and we liked very much. Very good local restaurants and local market. We can recommend the hotel and also the town - its a good idea to stay here at least one night.
This hotel is very pleasant for a stay in Aquas Calientes. They pick you up from the train station and walk you to the hotel (with umbrellas, if it's pouring!). They provide you with great information about Machu Picchu, and don't try to upsell any guiding/services. The breakfast is very good value- you can customize based on eating preferences. The hotel is very convenient to the Thermal Baths, and not far from the main heart of Aquas Calientes.
The manager, Carlos, was excellent from start to finish. He have us tips for visiting Machu Picchu as well as things to do in Aguas Calientes. Very modern and clean hotel with a fantastic upper terrace that has incredible views of the town and surrounding mountains. Great view from our room as well. Would definitely stay again if lucky enough to get a second visit to the amazing Machu Picchu!
Fantastic quirky hotel on the edge of the main square. Excellent location for everything in Aguas Calientes, bars, restaurants, MP bus and station. Rooms were large, clean with balcony and really good shower. Breakfast served from 5am to suit travellers to MP with fruit, breads, eggs, juices, cereals and hot drinks. Staff friendly and efficient couldn’t do enough to please their guests.
The location was excellent. Aguas Calientes is a pretty compact town and I could reach everywhere easily on foot from the hotel. Staff was friendly. The hot breakfast consisted of two eggs cooked your way l along with bread, juice and tea/coffee. We had plenty of time to eat breakfast before boarding our 7am bus to Machu Picchu. Overall a great stay.
The hotel is off the main square, close to all the market and restaurants. We were so thankful for this place. Our train arrived late, but they waited at the train station for about 30 mins to pick us up. The bed is very comfortable and great views from the room. They also made breakfast very early for us to go to Machu Picchu at early morning.
Amazing service and clean and comfortable rooms. They are happy to store your luggage while going to Machu Picchu.
Carlos, the owners son, was super kind and assisted me when I had some flight issues. He was fantastic and a really nice guy.
Although it is a simple hotel, the staff really try to help their customers and give amazing service.
Breakfast was great, our room was a triple room, and it was cozy and comfortable. The location was great, we arrived in the train, and it was right in front of the station. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel, and the bus station to Machu Picchu is a two-minute walk. The hotel is beside the river, so it has a great view.
The hotel's prime location is nothing short of amazing, especially for travel enthusiasts. Nestled conveniently close to the train station, it effortlessly combines comfort with accessibility. The mere proximity to the station makes exploring the city a breeze, allowing guests to embark on exciting adventures with ease.
Amazing little centrally located hotel with private rooms. Has everything you need for a comfortable one night stay before or after seeing Machu Picchu. Extremely good price and perfect for an unfussy, solo traveler.
