The crown inn Longtown, hotel in Hereford

Located in Hereford, less than 1 km from Longtown Castle, The crown inn Longtown provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

Staff is very sweet and kind. I had dinner and was lovely. The room was very quiet and had a good bed. If you like quiet far away places this is the right place. Is very lovely Welsh inn but is not close to anything and may be fun for walkers or bikers. Is also romantic and may be worth for people going up Black Mountain.

Aylestone View, hotel in Hereford

Located in Hereford and only 45 km from Kingsholm Stadium, Aylestone View provides accommodation with inner courtyard views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Fab self catering facilities. Excellent locatiion. Character property. First floor. Top quality decor with personal touches. Spotlessly clean. Spacious lounge. View from all rooms to main road. Car parking in front. What a fab welcoming host too! Lovely touch of welsh cakes and fresh milk and eggs in the fridge, sadly never had time to fully appreciate everything. As in a rush didnt have time for the full personal tour on arrival or unpack all our food and found the kitchen had luxury under floor heating! Individual radiators have simple temp control as well as central one to adjust. Worth checking before bed as was a little too warm in the middle of the night.. Owner asked if want two singles or double made up for second bedroom. Contacted by email and text Hope to return. Thank you!

Hereford is a charming and compact town on the scenic River Wye, perfect for a short break of a few days. It boasts an impressive cathedral, a fascinating history museum in the form of the Black and White House (an original 17th century home still standing in the town square!) and an excellent cider museum. It's easy to get to via train (3 hours from London) and pleasant to walk around, so makes a great trip without a car. Only tricky part was finding anywhere that serves hot food after 6pm!

Hereford is a lovely city, very compact, many useful shops, beautiful cathedral, very very well worth visiting. Plenty of cafes and food places to eat. It is very easy to get to. We used the trains and buses to get to places such as Great Malvern with the famous lamps (Narnia, fabulous for stunning scenery) Ross on Wye (charming), Ludlow (interesting, beautiful buildings), Leominster (many antique shops). There is a Zipper bus which takes you around the town and to the train station for nothing (yes free!) People are so friendly (they say “Good morning” to you) not like London!

Hereford is a stunning county to visit.

Hereford is a stunning county to visit. Amazing cathedral and city to visit, pedestrians only in city. Lots of cafes and places to eat. River Wye is stunning and Symmonds Yat worth a visit. Maybe you will see a Peregrin Falcon there. Lots to do. The local theatre The Courtyard always has something on. There is a fabulous Cinema as well.

So much history and wonderful, old buildings in quite a small, easily walkable area. The Black and White House and the Catholic church, were particularly interesting. The Mappa Mundi and Cathedral are obviously worth a visit. The lack of cars in some streets was great. Far more relaxing without them. Good choice of eateries (e.g. Ponte Vecchio, The Bookshop, All Saints cafe). The outdoor market stalls were a delight but the indoor market needs a upgrade. Lots of potential. There is also a nearby walk in the countryside along the river bank, via Victoria Bridge then back along the other side to the west.

Hereford is a pretty town, we went for the Cathedral and Map a Mundi. I think it would suit people who like to go for a bit of a shop and the town centre looked nice when we were walking through, little lanes, little cafes, little independent shops as well as some of the majors. I enjoyed the Cathedral and the Black & White House Museum, the latter would also be good for children. Close to lovely countryside and striking distance from Hay On Wye and other pretty towns to visit so a good hub place to be based.

Friendly proprietors. Very clean room and very comfortable bed. Shower and toilet clean and adequate. Handwash provided (but no shower gel). Microwave, refrigerator and kettle provided and adequate tea, coffee, etc. The guest house is within very easy walking distance (via an underpass), from the town centre, shops, cafes, restaurants, cathedral, etc. It's about a 20-minute walk from/to the train station and less to the bus stations.

The location with views over the local countryside was lovely. The room was huge with a sitting area and the bathroom was large. It is not a modern hotel but the facilities were all functional and clean in keeping with the age of the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was beautifully presented. We felt we got what we expected a traditional English country Manor experience.

We had a very good stay at Charades. It is a beautiful home that is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The proximity to the city makes it a wonderful location from which to explore Hereford. Breakfast was very good. The owners were extremely professional, paying great attention to detail and they were very friendly. If we are ever in the area again we will be back! Thank you very much.

What was not to like? It was perfect. Every little detail thought of with some simple but beautiful touches. 100% recommend this place. We had friends staying in hotels paying more and wishing they were us! 😁 Katey was brilliant with communication and really helpful. Will definitely book this again. I actually wanted to move in tbh! 😊

Decent but no frills double room, clean, comfy bed, felt safe (key pad on front door to come and go), private off road parking. Close enough to Hereford town centre to walk. Note there's no breakfast options at the moment. We ate dinner at The Burger Shop, it was the best burger I have had in a long time. Access to the garden at the back.

Good location on outskirts of Hereford. Spacious room with everything you need including an electric fan! Nice to have windows you could open - rare for some hotels - esp welcome during 30 degree heat. Paid on line via PayPal for room only but opted for breakfast in the morning. Adequate buffet plus freshly cooked breakfast.

The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and very filling. We were able to walk to Hereford City centre both days - it took just over 30 minutes each way. If we had stayed longer, we would have caught a bus to Ross on Wye or Monmouth as they go past the hotel every hour.

I love staying in Munstone house when I’m in Hereford. Location is close to town but far enough away to be peaceful, the hotel is grand and comfortable. The host makes the stay the complete package, she is kind, welcoming and makes you feel completely taken care of. Plus the breakfast is top notch!
