Booking was easy, the receptionist was very helpful, called, when we were running late to check if we were OK.
Upon checking in, we went to check the restaurant on 3rd floor, it was very intimate, despite the vip roo. having been booked for a birthday party, we were accommodated and treated like royalty, the staff was amazing.

Its a historic town whose glory has now faded.
The Big Hole was definitely worth a visit, but most of the other historic houses and museums that we wanted to visit are closed during the weekend. (so, doesn't make sense for an out of town visitor at all)

The area around the Big Hole are horribly run down.
The area around the Big Hole are horribly run down. It has wonderful late- Victorian architecture and if the authorities got their act together, it would be a great tourist attraction. The Big Hole museum is well run, but so much more could be done with the once fabulous outdoor museum (replica of the original old town)

The CBD (city centre) was incredibly dirty (litter everywhere) and felt mildly unsafe. This is sadly and unfortunately true of so many towns/cities (both small and large) throughout South Africa these days.
The Big Hole Museum was a surprising breath of fresh air in an otherwise dirty and unwelcoming environment.
The city roads were fairly delipidated, with lots of small potholes. Again, this is simply an indictment of the corrupt and distressingly mismanaged municipalities and local government structures operating throughout South Africa.

Official tourist location are limited to the diamond and war history. There ought to be more local adventures that tourists could participate in; Live music concerts, festivals, interesting spaces to connect with other tourist perhaps.
Had lunch at the Protea Hotel (The Marriot), using a Bolt (Taxify). The drivers are friendly, so are the wait staff.

I work here so me and my partner explored Both Galeshewe and The City trips, Diamond Pavilion and Pass by North Cape Mall and Sol Plaatje University, we’re I work.
We’re both from Mafikeng. He came For Diamond Knights Bikers Charity event.
The sense of privacy was alarming but totally worth every cent. Had an Air BnB vibe to it. We booked one of their apartments. A little living area and kitchen set up. Large bedroom with a bathroom to match. Air BnB isn't big in Kimberley so this was refreshing as someone who loves privacy. Once you get your keys you won't see another soul till you leave.
On arrival we were told that there's no water in Kimberley that's when frustration kicked in, but the owner connected the borehole and we had water for the whole weekend..the place was very clean And welcoming. Happy about the service, comfortable beds and the owner willing to help about anything required to make our stay perfect. Thank you so!!!
A very nice and small hotel in the center of Kimberley, close to the mall and main roads. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was spacious with a full bathroom, separate bath and walk-in shower. A good breakfast to start the day and secure underground parking.
Liked that the place has everything to offer for self catering, stylish & modern.
Very comfortable and in a good state , location easy to find
The host Gerrard was very accommodating from beginning to end of our visit, will definitely use the accommodation again.
All staff were extremely friendly and efficient , dinner was delicious and the included breakfast was exeptional! All breakfast was made fresh and included a lot of little extras that you do not see everyday!
Would definately recommend this Hotel.
The property has all the historic charm of 1895 Kimberley, but it’s definitely been better maintained than the rest of the City in the last century. Breakfast was great, staff were accommodating and helpful and it had all the necessary amenities.
The rooms are nicely decorated and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The restaurant serves excellent food and is great spot for dinner.overall the hotel is great stop for a stay in Kimberley. Very comfortable and checks all the boxes.
We enjoyed our stay. We have been before so it was as we remembered. Everything you need for self catering including wood, starters and matches supplied. Such a peaceful place. Hard to believe you're just outside Kimberley.
The owner was very accommodating. The unit was very neat and clean. There were emergency lights during load-shedding. There was backup water because Kimberley didn't have water, could take a shower and go on.
Loved everything about Nare Boutique Hotel! The pictures do not justice to the place! The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. When I visit Kimberly again, I will be staying at Nare.
The facilities are beautiful! It’s the perfect place to overnight in Kimberley, with delightful hosts in a lovely, quiet and secure neighbourhood with useful amenities within walking distance.
The hotel exceeded expectations, given that when outside it doesn't look like much is happening, however inside everything was well kept, preserved and maintained.
