Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOnsite parking was available. Charges of $35 per night is very steep. (Although I was lucky and picked up a pre booking deal of $20 per night. Still very pricey!) Credit Card charges were also a surprise.
This location was fabulous! Little National Hotel Newcastle was newly opened when we stayed. Our 1 bedroom studio apartment was awesome. Electronic/computerized lighting, blinds, and curtains. The bed was amazingly comfortable!

AustraliaParking is too costly. $20 is what most places charge. TV had poor connection and they encouraged you to connect to your device 😢
Very nice public places. Nice gym.. more complete experience. It has everything to make you comfortable. The library is an amazing area to work.

AustraliaNothing it was really good
The Entrance into the hotel had a lovely smell, it gave a very relaxing feeling. The rooms were funky/small, but enough for short stays, fantastic location to Honeysuckle and the Esplanade.

I thought this Hotel room was so well set out, a great way to utilise space but also included all the little niceties of an expensive Hotel. They thought of everything for your comfort and cosiness. The bed was comfy the pillows great, coffee making facilities great, good strong shower, modern and clean. The room became so dark when you pulled the blind! The staff were exceptional, car parking simple. Close to restaurants.

AustraliaThe parking being paid - I somehow missed that in the information.
Love the fresh new feel, I also like not paying for floor space I don’t need. The lighting options were fun. The staff were friendly and helpful.

AustraliaWe did room a king room but a standard one which required that I climb over my husband to get out of bed. This said- the bed is huge and it was not a bug issue but I would get a different room next time. The ambient lighting is an issue for applying makeup and possibly for those who work in their room. Not a deal breaker.
It has that new minimalist style, including the environmental footprint stuff; encouragement of thoughtful room servicing, ambient room lighting. No wasted space in the room but enough space for what you need for a short stay. The hotel has a young, vibrant feel - all staff are friendly and welcoming. We ate breakfast in the lounge and happy we did. Having eaten breakfast at a local cafe the previous day, we wished we had simply “eaten in”. We sat and watched the movement of people and harbour while eating yoghurt and berry bowl, muesli and toast, with tea. This is a VERY nee establishment so it’s all sparkling and fresh. My husband used the gym. Car parking 👍

AustraliaNot a single things comes to mind. I loved it all!
The beds in Little National hotels are second to none, and it's such a treat to lie in bed and watch a show on TV after a big day of travel. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth of food offerings in the lounge and the quality was great.

AustraliaTaking away some of the customer service experience with computer check in. Fun to use but makes three staff standing at a desk redundant... Probably could minimise the tech there to boost your face to face points with me. Might be the way of the future but it's something I enjoy at a hotel. Service. Itchy robes

AustraliaRoom is so well designed and the bed was HUGE. It was like melting into a big marshmallow and the tv at the foot of the bed was positively decadent. I spent a whole day in the Library working - it’s incredibly well set up with different options for lounging, booths for phone calls and private desks - bonus points for the free tea and coffee! I want to move in.

AustraliaOnly gripe I can point out is abit more clarification on what is on the house in the mini bar and what is not would be great. Other than that the hotel is excellent.

AustraliaThe walk down stairs from carpark to reception with luggage is inconvenient. Easy enough with a small bag but would be bad with more bags. Most hotels have a lift as a bare minimum. The lighting is pretty but makes getting ready in the morning a bit annoying - is a bit dark in the room, even with all the lights on and curtain/blind open. The TV was useless as it wouldn’t connect/stream from my phone or laptop, so there was only free to air channels which is a bit subpar considering it’s 2024 and nothing good can be watched without Netflix at least.
Clean and tidy. Great facilities. Modern and comfortable. Bed was great and pillows are comfy. They will bring your Uber eats order to your room for you which is exceptional.
