How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I enjoyed my stay. Will come back. Vague traffic noise but didn’t affect sleep.
Clean and tidy unit with car port. Good towels and comfy bed. Close to main highway for easy get away. Biscuits much enjoyed with a cup of tea on arrival after a long drive.

Room 4 did not pump the soap out in room 4 Room 3 the heating did not work on the air con.
Bed was comfy as in both rooms both rooms nice and quiet

Nothing to be honest, good all round value..
A very clean motel with a beautiful garden area with barbecue and outdoor setting plus a guest kitchen for preparing meals to eat in the garden area, very unusual but really good..Old world charm with the comforts..

It was a cabin style accommodation each with own carport. Carport was close to cabin. I liked it and the room was clean and bed comfortable

Traffic noise from nearby busy roads. Complex is very old although well maintained. Surrounded on three sides by bush but difficult to walk to any restaurants etc because it is situated on a major road.
Very clean. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Clean towels and face washer. Beautifully maintained gardens with several shaded outside sitting areas. Nice pool. Just off the hwy so convenient for an overnight stay.

Nothing really at the price of the room.
Room was small but the interior arrangement well thought out to make maximum use of the space. It was clean and the bed comfortable. Great value for money and pleasant helpful staff.

Quiet location but still handy enough to town centre. Decent sized room, clean and bed was comfortable. Undercover parking next to room, staff friendly. Suitable for our one night stay. Well equipped kitchen available for use by guests.

This motel is a standout winner for accommodations of this kind and age of the buildings. Apart from new bathrooms at some stage - an expensive renovation - I can't identify any further improvements
Major Innes motel must surely take the top prize for the best presented motel in Australia. The gardens were receiving loving care as we arrived - thoughtfully designed, manicured lawns, trim hedges all round, a variety of plants and flowers attractively presented. This care translated into Unit 4 where, despite the age of the building, the floors were shining and comfortable, the bed linen excellent quality, the bed comfortable. Tea, coffee etc was available in the room with the most useful and convenient addition of a separate guest kitchen, fully equipped. The bathroom was small and very dated but far cleaner than many other more modern ones in other motels. Hot water was plentiful. Great value, especially when compared with similar but badly presented motels we have stayed in. Parking was undercover beside the unit. The pool was maintained in sparkling condition, even in cold weather. Location was not far - about 3km - off the Pacific Highway. This will become my preferred overnight stop for future trips.

The property owner was very nice accommodating. They were willing to change the date of our stay without penalties. The property was nicely located outside the township with a quiet n cosy surroundings - ideal for a nice relaxing stay.

It was dated but as value for money excellent. Don't be put off by first appearance.
The rooms were spacious extremely clean, good quality linen. Excellent guest kitchen and lovely manicured garden area with several seating areas. TV was up to date and excellent reception.
