Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe address in booking.com doesn't match the actual address of the hotel. My bathroom in particular would make a loud noise whenever when other rooms flushed.
Hotel is clean, and in line with the price. The member of staff that stays during the night is super friendly and deserves all praise.

The hotel is simply gorgeous. It has convenient parking, polite and smiling staff and extremely good food. We will visit again! I also recommend it for families with children. Thanks again to the hotel staff for their good attitude and to their management for being able to train them well.

RomaniaThe food left much to be desired. I had the same kind of food throughout my stay. At the same time, the food was not diversified. I had two or three dishes. The first room showed traces of mold and we had to ask for another one. There is no mini fridge in the room. The pool is small, for the capacity of the hotel. At the same time, the place for senzlogs is extremely small. The pool is not completely fenced and opens directly onto the street.

SlovakiaBreakfast lunch and dinner for all 5 days was very days the some we fell sick !! The food does not meet the expectations which we like !! The hotel staff was very rude !! Cleaning staff didn’t clean properly the room was very dirty!! The water was cold in the shover !! Tv in the room wasn’t working at all even I have reported it twice to the receptionist My son had a birthday and I have asked at the reception to prepare a nice cake for my son in the morning… At the end they didn’t they was late i though it was beyond the joke !!! We had all Inclusive book , and the staff bar refuse to give us drink !!!
The hotel was very poor the staff was very rude the security guard very very rude the room was very dirty , the cleaning staff didn’t clean properly wasn’t good never will book this hotel . In the morning when we when was breakfast we find the hair in the food we don’t eat the food as we fell sick that was discusted never ever will book the hotel again . As well the receptionist was very very rude completely bad . Lunch and dinner was all the time the some food we was there for 5 days and all 5 days was the some food no different food people fell sick !!! During the night we wasn’t able to seat outside like people do in other hotels as the security guard was very rude . I can’t believe!! That was so discusting
