Our stay in Haus Stehlings Monschau was perfect! The key collection was very easy, and the communication with the host was equally simple. He gave us perfect directions regarding car parking, and kindly sent a message via WhatsApp, right after our arrival, to check if everything was ok and if we needed anything. We also felt warmly welcomed by the thoughtful gesture of the "printen" (a must-have local gingerbread) on our beds. :) Our two-bedroom family room (Castle Room) was large, clean, comfortable and had a jaw-dropping view of the fairytale town of Monschau. Located right in the middle of the historic area, we were able to walk all around. We also walked to the shops/supermarket that are about 3 km away, in town. I highly recommend this property. Thank you, Johannes, for the excellent stay!

The pillow was slightly too soft for my preference.

This location is unbeatable! Practically adjacent to the renowned Red House, our room had an impressive view. The heating functioned flawlessly, the shower pressure was great, and the water pleasantly warm. Surprisingly spacious, the room came equipped with a selection of teas, a kettle, and a coffee machine. The overall condition of the building is excellent. Communication with the hotel through booking messages was prompt and effective, with swift and helpful responses.

It's perfectly located with a lovely view on the river. The town itself is beautiful, like a painting. The room was really big (especially for the price). The mattress was soft, WiFi worked well and everything felt like it should be.

As you cannot drive in the village (and define shouldn't!) pack lightly, the parking is a few hundred meters away..

The apartment has a lot of character being in a 12th century house. The view is fantastic over the village and river Rur. The apartment has everything you'd need for your stay. The staff super helpful and friendly. Comfortable beds.

Nothing to complaint but it is good to know that it might be inconvenient for people with luggage to reach this place. The road to the hostel is rough （stone path) and steep. Besides, there is no elevator, so if your room is on the top floor, you need to climb up to the third floor via small stairs. However, this is what the transitional Monschau house would have if we would like to experience it.

Outstanding location. Only a four minute walk from parking and easy walking access to the town. Beautiful views from the apartment. Would stay again! Bakery within a short distance and multiple restaurants in town. Wonderful stay!
