The staff, the food, the position and the ambience of this small hotel were all exceptional. I would highly recommend Opuntia to anyone looking for somewhere with character. We stayed 6 nights but wish it had been longer!

nothing - it was all fabulous.

fantastic central location, warm welcome with a complimentary drink, breakfasts are incredible, and we loved the little courtyard where we ate - massive lemon tree giving shade. We had a junior suite with a huge bed, little kitchen area with fridge which was handy and spotless bathroom with huge walk in shower. Stay here if you get the chance. its idyllic. What a gem.

When we were leaving there was no one around who spoke English and that would have been helpful.

A real gem. Central location. Spacious comfortable bedroom. Lovely shower. Good breakfast. Attractive courtyard. We ate lunch in the hotel cafe and the salads were good. We had a two night get stay and enjoyed beautiful Mijas and this lovely modern boutique hotel contributed greatly to our enjoyment. Be sure to go to the botanical gardens and enjoy the incredible views. We hope to stay here again one day.

The property was spectacular, both in the rooms and in the public areas, such attention to detail, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Beds very comfortable, great terrace and the small things like a proper coffee maker in the room and the lovely robes? - Can’t praise it enough! The staff were so welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. Welcome drink was a lovely touch. The breakfast was outstanding too. We only wish we had been staying longer and would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

Wasn’t a dislike but did wake me up a couple times, the church bells every hour, but this isn’t at fault of the hotel, and after the first day I got used to it.

The staff treat you like family they were so welcoming and kind. All so generous, they went above and beyond. The room and the rest of the hotel was stylish and so clean! Food was lovely and staff were attentive.

The TV could have been better situated and the couch a little comfier. Would have loved a tv in the bedroom or the couch comfy enough to snuggle on.

Absolutely stunning, high end fixtures and fittings. Pure luxury beautiful big bed lovely linen. Huge bathroom with large walk in shower. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine.

Our room was looking onto the square which could be quite noisy at night and might disturb your sleep if you were a light sleeper.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here!! The room was beautiful, the breakfast was AMAZING, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The location was absolutely perfect right in the square. The Hotel is also a wee café where you can order lunch and coffee throughout the day, which was also absolutely delicious!! We would definitely come back here again!!

Nothing - my room was at front overlooking the square which I loved but if you were a light sleeper the noise could disturb - but I slept fine !

Everything- warm welcome when I arrived, lovely room, all I needed and the most delicious breakfasts offered by friendly staff. Loved the decor and artwork too
