Stayed 8 yrs ago for graduation Totally knew what to expect!! Did not expect door staff?? Front of house staff could do with some training, had to ask about breakfast times and bar hours Room was a delight! Bathroom and toilet were shocking although cleanish. Not much you can do with a fourty year old pink split sink! PTFE tape around the shower hose was interesting 🤔 As was the wardrobe chained to the wall!! Very cheap to stay with a just about edible breakfast. The curtains were lovely in the room though 😃 Covered the holey net curtain. Would I stay again? Well that was the 3rd time, so yes I would. Excellent location.

It's in the city, so as expected can be a bit noisy. Also people walking, singing by the rooms and shouting at 2.30 am, was a bit off putting. However, hotel dealt with quickly, as noise soon stopped.

Excellent value for money. Basic but clean with comfortable bed. Located near to the coach station, so Excellent for an early start following morning. V

I reserved a double room, but on arrival, I was told there's non left. They did upgrade us, which was nice.

The location is great , and the receptionist was very friendly and resolved the room overbooking issue quickly.

I will continue to use brittania because of the location and the cleanliness.

I had a query with my payment and the response from brittania was slow, but they did answer my query. The whole hotel is tired and shabby. It needs upgrading. The bath panel was hanging off and the taps on the sink need replacing. The windows are secondary glazing and you can still hear considerable noise from the city during the night. There's not enough electric sockets and there are still some sockets that take the round pin plugs! But overall it keeps me coming back because of the location and cleanliness.

It's the perfect location for me. In the city and near the bus station. The rooms are very clean.

Changing the mattress, a ventilating bathroom and a friendly shower mixer would make the property my first choice.

The room was tidy and clean, providing the same amenities as others I have had to pay more for. It was indeed value for money.

A bit of a scruffy exterior to hotel and felt rather 'hostel like' but cheap and adequate for our stopover.

Close proximity to Coventry Cathedral- caught Evensong at 4.00. Near lots of eateries. Pleasant breakfast in totally empty slightly worn dining area

The young gentleman on the front desk, he was on duty 5th April, was not friendly or polite. He did not apologise that my original room had no electricity. Good customer service costs nothing & would of been appreciated.

Information about parking in the area could be more helpful. Car park suggested on hotel website was closed. I could not reach the shower head to take it off its holder. Breakfast was good but the coffee was terrible! Cona coffee would be better than what came out of those machines.

Hotel was clean and in a good location for singing at the Cathedral for the weekend. I could open a window.

However some members of staff are rude, I had an issue with my key and had to go down to reception for help and was faced with a hostile response and had my key aggressively slid to me and told “it’s fine”. The cleanliness is hit or miss, unfortunately I found brown marks on my bed, which I have included some photos of the smaller marks, and was forced to sleep on a towel the first night. The breakfast was skimpy, greasy and quite frankly bland, it is definently not worth £9, however if you book on the day you would pay £11! The restaurant staff are not bubbly but who can blame them when they are faced with a dull outdated work environment. However the bar staff were lovely! Also the facilities (bar and restaurant) are closed unless they have coach parties which is inconvenient. You can tell they are trying to modernise the place but maybe they could do with modernising their attitudes and furniture as bed was also uncomfortable. Overall a bitter sweet experience.

The hotel is in a great location, only 5 minutes away from the city centre. Room had a perfect view of the transport museum and Coventry cathederal. I was also travelling with a disabled family member and thankfully certain members of staff helped make our stay easier. Some staff members were lovely and helpful, especially the security guards who were very friendly and bubbly.
