How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hotel was modern and staff extremely helpful. As a 75 year old lady I felt extremely safe. The hotel had a calming feel about it.

The location from the car park and skydome are an perfect for us, staff where lovely and friendly, even carried out bags to our room for us, whizz jus made our visit even better as we was up from 6am and didn’t get to the hotel till 10pm, could not fault the hotel and their staff, would 1000% recommend well worth the money.
Property was stunning.

My only criticism is the shower pressure was poor when it was first turned on. It came ok after turning it on and off a few times.
The whole feel of the hotel was welcoming and the staff were very friendly. The location was excellent as so close to the train station. I was worried about noise levels because the train station was so close but couldn’t hear any outside noise when in the room. Breakfast was excellent also. Next time we might try dinner in the hotel. A bonus was it was raining the next day and you could rent umbrellas at the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Dinner Service in restaurant was slow and eccentric.
Ground floored restaurant and, bar and seating area beautifully designed and room was comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and very welcoming.

No parking, but train station's multi-storey nearby is just £8 for 24 hours. Shower only, a bath would be nice.
Clean and modern, great decor. Quirky style. Close to train station. Easy access to town. Very nice staff. Big modern TV. Super-comfy bed. Quiet location. Milk bottle in fridge instead of them horrible little sachets. Proper sized mugs!

A great hotel. Nice design, not trying too hard. The English Breakfast is great. Dining hall is pleasant. Rooms are designed neatly and everything is spot on. Nice selection of tea and coffee. Didn't try the gym but it looks quite adequate. Staff is very kind.

Really friendly staff and great decor. We stayed one night and I cannot fault the hotel at all . I used the gym which was really good . Location is very convenient as it’s right next to the station! Everything was very clean and the room has a stocked mini fridge complimentary!

Breakfast is excellent, but it is à la carte. That means that, except for very few items available from a very small buffet section, one needs to wait a relatively long time to eat, which is not always ideal especially for people on work trips. I would recommend having a larger buffet with at least eggs and bacon in it – although the dishes freshly made by the chef are obviously superior. Staff are very eager to help but sometimes there is an impression that especially the younger associates don't have much experience waiting tables or dealing with international customers and their needs. I suspect more serious, cohesive training is needed, and probably it would be helpful to staff's professional growth, as well. One fully negative note is that I was not informed that, at the time of my stay, the hotel would be completely surrounded by a building site making it impossible to access the one pedestrian entrance from the street, which was particularly inconvenient while carrying a suitcase under the rain. This will be sorted eventually but more care should have gone into preparing customers and potentially creating an easier path into the hotel.
Location is great (considering it is still Coventry...) 1 minute away from the train station. For people going to the University of Warwick, the direct bus (12x) is 5 minutes away, and plenty of taxis/uber rides are also quickly available in the area; in both cases it takes 12-15 minutes to reach the university. Rooms are new and spacious, although this reviewer doesn't quite appreciate (or understand, really) the choice of not having a real wardrobe but rather a short open rod and no drawers. The gym is well equipped and clean. Staff are very kind and helpful. The restaurant is very good, both for breakfast and the other meals.
