How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

How small the room was but I was aware of the size upon booking. It would have been great to have a kettle for tea and coffee.
Location was great. Early check in was also great! Aircon was lovely.

Breakfast was very disappointing only continental breakfast and very basic, we had room only booked and decided to have breakfast one of the mornings at the hotel we were charged 11 pounds 50 pence each and it was not worth it

The only aspect that did not go so well was that one couple in the group was mistakenly assigned a certain room and, when the hotel realized the mistake, made them change rooms when they had already settled in the first one. They could've assumed the mistake and leave them in their original room. Also, one of the nights the alarm went off in the middle of the night and woke us all up. An annoying accident.
Very good option if you're travelling on a budget but still do not give up a certain degree of comfort and service level from the hotel. Point A has a very pleasant breakfast for its type of accommodation (variety and acceptable quality). The staff is kind and helpful and the hotel is very modern with a very good level of cleaning, which makes it a very good option for travelling "cheap" but good.

Rooms are a bit tiny
Overall, our stay at this hotel was a pleasant experience. The rooms are cozy, perfect for a couple on a city trip. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We did face an issue with the air conditioning in our initial room, as it couldn't be turned off and disturbed my husband's sleep. However, upon reporting the problem, they swiftly offered an alternative room without this issue. Their flexibility and responsiveness to our needs were commendable. Additionally, the location is perfect – just a 6-minute walk to Liverpool Street Station, providing easy access to various directions. Would recommend for a convenient and comfortable stay!

Easy check in and check out process, friendly staff and comfy bed. The location is great, easy to move around and well connected. Breakfast was okayish, nothing too special (limited selection in terms of salty, veggie options), for sure better than nothing :)

Not much to complain about but the glass door to the bathroom made a very loud sound every time we closed it. Also the digital light switches are very annoying to use.

Guests in next room left at 0745, cleaners in the room by 8am which is great for guests checking at 3pm but not good when you check out at 11am and are woken up by cleaners banging bins/doors and hoovering as soon as guest leaves.
Central location, well maintained, friendly staff and breakfast is okay.

Small room. Bedding came off the bed very easily No exhaust fan in the bathroom
Really convenient to the market and shops. Super close to Liverpool station as well. Mood lighting in the room and easy to change

Room was very small and had no window. I would def book a window room next time.
Great breakfast and the hotel is very clean with a super location to Spitalfields and Liverpool Street. I also liked the decor and the atmosphere, really welcoming and contemporary.

Was not keen on the digital lighting option s,was difficult to work out without any instructions.Did not appreciate having to pay £3 per bag for storage after checkout.Its not a lot of money but have never had to pay for that service anywhere I have stayed over many years.We all pay enough to stay ,as well as spending hard earned cash in the hotel at the bar for food & drink.

Wifi didn't seem to work very well. Appreciate that it's probably reflected in price of hotel but it would have been nice to be able to have tea/coffee making facilites in the room.
Room was lovely and very quiet! Lovely outside courtyard as well.

The TV didn't work, it would randomly switch itself off, not great as we were trying to have a movie/pamper night. Could also hear the trains running while trying to sleep, wasn't too loud though, but just be aware of it. The corridor had a very strong bleach smell the entire time we were staying there, couldn't smell it once in the room though.
Clean, comfortable beds, close to tube station. Short walk from Tower Bridge.
