Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt was HOT in the room - couldn't get to grips with the aircon! Would love tea/coffee in room but wasn't a major issue.
Great location for the City, Spitalfields, Brick Lane, East London. London Bridge area is a 20 mins walk over the River. Room (windowless double) was as expected, compact but with the basic essentials for an overnight stay - TV, wifi, USB and plug sockets. Good bathroom, spacious. Bed very comfortable. Quick check in, staff were helpful, but not overbearing.

FrancePoor choice for breakfast.
Room was clean and well furnished. Breakfast is not very varied but good for a quick start of the day. Self checki-in and self check-out easy but happy there's always someone to help in case we need it.

United Arab EmiratesA wardrobe rail would be useful as more space ot hang clothes would be useful. ALso, a kettle in the room would have been a bonus.
All staff were great but, Mihaa and Gabrielle were especially superb in their helpfulness and approach. Great people. Thank you.

GermanyThe room is super small and without windows. Also the glass bathroom door is not optimal. (But this is all written in the description).
The location is great! Walking distance to Liverpool Station, near restaurants and bars. Super easy check in/out and nice staff.

NorwayMight have been my weary brain after travelling, but could not get the wifi to work, and the fancy buttons for light and such felt a bit annoying tbh :) Also; checking in on machines in the lobby (although with assistance) felt a bit strange and not very effective. Tried doing it before arrival, but failed. But hey, it didn't really matter to me, and YOU will probably figure it out! :D
Modern room, comfy bed, close to the Shoreditch action (but quiet at night), friendly and helpful staff. The option of paying for late check out (14:00) helped making my last day in Shoreditch better.

MalaysiaJust be aware that the room is really small. It’s alright for one person but it’ll be a real squeeze for two.
Good location.

SwedenNo hand towels, and the bigger towels were changed every other 3 days, which is good in a climate perspective, but wished they would’ve been changed sooner. Also you had to pay to store your luggage before check in.
Really good location, friendly staff and lots of space in the room.

AustraliaWalls are very thin, I could hear my neighbours a lot. Power sockets overheat when charging things.
Very cute room close to many London attractions. I loved the lights and even though I selected room without window, it felt very comfortable and spacious.

United KingdomThe only negative, having booked a room with no window to get the cheapest rate, was the amount of noise - we were in a room right underneath the stairs down to the lower rooms and the noise of people going up and down the stairs was hard to ignore. We have stayed here before in a room with a window on a higher floor and it was great with no noise issues, and I'm sure the downstairs rooms further from the stairs are probably also fine. Room was also very small but again, I think the rooms you pay a little more for you do get more space
The staff are excellent, very welcoming and helpful. The beds are comfortable, rooms and bathrooms clean, and the location is right around the corner from Liverpool Street station. The price is very good for what you get. It was also nice to have things like toiletries, fast WiFi and the hairdryer included still with such a cheap room, as those are the details you normally miss when you go for the most affordable places
