Bathroom, particularly shower was on the small side but I guess consistent with an old manor house.

The height and size of the bed awkward to get in and out..took up most of the bedroom Only one chair in the bedroom .

it was disappointing to have only one armchair in our bedroom. we couldn't both sit and read or enjoy the view

The hotel was beautiful..we had a lovely big room..with a lovely view of the hills...the sun terrace and garden were really nice..with beautiful flowers and trees...really loved the place.

The downside to our room was the smell of dog. I love dogs but don't really want to sleep in a room where dogs have been. In my opinion, it would be better to have rooms allocated to specific rooms for people to bring their dogs to. The only other issue I had was my wife is coeliac and cannot eat gluten. She had to return dishes a few times although it was discussed at each meal. Breakfast however was not a problem and really delicious.

A female member of staff was a pocket rocket! She was excellent when she wasn't on reception, serving dinner/breakfast she would be sweeping outside. She was on the go all the time, a brilliant, cheerful chatty member of the team. I just wish I'd got her name. I loved my room for the views and the decor.

I would have liked some normal museli or granola to be available with the other cereals at breakfast but that's a very minor request rather than a complaint. The breakfast options were were excellent.

The hotel is in beautiful condition, very well looked after and is clearly cared for. The staff were lovely, the gentleman working the bar and restaurant with the South African accent was so helpful and attentive, a real asset.

My room was one of thr highest in the building and while very comfortable and clean, the noise from the water/pipes every time someone used water (not in my room) woke me every morning. It was difficult to have a lay in/sleep undisturbed.

The place was fantastic. Everything you could need. Beautiful location, comfortable room and friendly staff. Super dog friendly.

Nothing not to like.

We had been staying somewhere else in Stratford upon Avon, due to be 2 nights, but it was so awful, we decided to head to the Lakes a day early, on the Friday, as we were due to go into our self catering accommodation on the Saturday. We booked last minute at the Ravenstone Manor and so, so happy we did. From the second we arrived, we were treated so well by the amazing staff. We had hot drinks by the open fire. We had a lovely evening meal, followed by a walk down to the lake and beautiful Church in close proximity to the hotel. We had a hot chocolate on our return. We slept well and had a delicious breakfast the next morning; again the staff were incredible. Loved this hotel and would definitely recommend to everyone.

Room small but comfortable but bathroom was tiny, would be much better laid out with bath removed and just shower instead giving a bit more space.

Fabulous location, lovely Manor House full of period features but also all mod cons expected. Staff were amazing, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, food excellent both breakfast and dinner.

Room a bit on the small side and requiring updating. Clean, quiet and comfortable though.

Brilliant location. Excellent breakfast and really enjoyed dinner. Hotel was so good at accommodating our dog.
