Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe bar was closed, we hoped there'd be a bonfire or some activity in the night (independence day). There are only 2 pools, it's not enough for the amount of people when it's hot and full. The toilet/showers in the morning were absolutely filthy. Basically it's not good value for money when paying 2k nis for a night of glamping (plus breakfast)
The peacefulness, the simple decor, nice people.

IsraelI did count on the restaurant for dinner but the chef quit and there was no food.
The staff was friendly and did their best to handle a plethora of technical difficulties. The electricity was down for most of the evening and the chef quit that morning.

IsraelConstruction began at 6am. Insane noise for the whole day. Very annoying and worthy of a % back. Grossly dirty oven area in kitchen Heater stopped heating or something in middle of night and woke up freezing. Had to reset to be able to warm up the room for children. Price is simply ridiculous. Paid more than a shabbat price with full spa entrance and massive breakfast buffet at ein gedi hotel. Only stayed because price difference noted only after too late to cancel without a penalty. Asked for some discount for single mom on my 50th birthday but no one willing.... Gouging cost for a tent...
serene space and we made the most of it but over priced beyond belief.... While we love it here, the price, the construction and the dirty cooking area will make me rethink coming again or recommending to others any more...

United KingdomThere was supposed to be no noise after 10pm when the bar music was turned off, however at around 11pm the staff started playing loud music at their quarters which was close to our tent. This carried on for quite a while.
One of the most amazing holiday experiences I've had. The location is spectacular, in a crater in the desert. The campsite itself had a very cool, relaxed vibe. The facilities were all very clean and comfortable. The campsite had a small shop and bar. Breakfast was available but there was also a communal kitchen and BBQ area for self-catering. The bell tents were very spacious and very comfortable. Night time was a real experience, with the nocturnal animals - foxes, wolves, etc. - providing a memorable soundtrack!

Switzerland- not the right place for tourists!!! - definitely not a silent and chilling place to enjoy the desert for people without small kids. - loud until late night because of night program and screaming kids from early morning until late night, also because of the small stones outside you hear each step outside your tent. - you can't enjoy the desert at night because of the lights the whole night and the noise (unless you leave the place to a silent and dark spot) - most of staff is korrekt but not really friendly or helpful (it seems like students doing their job)
wonderful place for local families with small kids beautiful place sustenable yummy fresh food nice tents

IsraelA bit close to the road but you didn’t hear it. The first night there was a group playing music until 1 am. Disruptive when on a tent wanting to enjoy quiet. The rest of the nights were good.
Really pretty. Good location.

FranceIn the room next to me there were little kids that were very noisy till very late hours. As there almost no isolation (it’s a tant) I couldn’t sleep. It would be better if kids would be located in one place or with their parents

IsraelReconstruction in the near by area. Though it was Thursday night and there were any works around, it still destroyed the nature view - these construction tools, etc. Would like to have mountains, tents and stars only.
Interesting location just inside the crater. Very convenient bed in the tent and conditioner was a great plus. Cool evening music show. Very clean bathroom.

NetherlandsFor a single traveler there seems to be nothing in between the very cheap mattress in the Bedouin tent (which I did, worked perfectly for me) and the very expensive glamping options. That's a shame in my opinion. Some classes or activities were advertised but didn't seem to materialise, or only in Hebrew (star gazing for example). I'd suggest including the morning yoga in the price of the overnight, especially for guests paying for the more expensive accommodations. Also maybe a post-hiking afternoon yoga class could be nice? There is some construction ongoing (they seem to be expanding the hotel area). There was no noise or anything, it just looked ugly in the otherwise very pretty and Instagrammable surroundings.
Great location in the Crater, so easy to go for various hikes. Everyone, including the (rather expensive) glamping tents shares the common bathroom facilities. They are plentiful and were always clean. Common kitchen looks great and is kept clean, it has some very large fridges to keep your stuff. The buffet breakfast that is served is wonderful, worth paying for. The cafe at reception serves some small meals (salads, pita, pasta) that are tasty, but for a real restaurant you have to go to Mitzpe Ramon, which is about a 10 minute drive. Enough shady spots to hang out during the day (although some shade by the dipping pools could be nice). All staff were super friendly, chatty and helpful: not a given in Israël so that was a breath of fresh air :)
