How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast buffet got very crowded with having a bus tour having breakfast all at the same time. And. Real fast wasn’t too much for my taste and not worth the money.
Very friendly and helpful staff and very modern, clean and nice rooms. The location is very close to the train station Venice Mestre and from there it is very easy to get to Venice Santa Lucia.

Could use a few extra pillows and bigger blankets. There’s no mini fridge in the room.
Excellent location at a much cheaper price than staying in Venice (5 minutes walk to the train station and 10 minutes to Venice by train). Good breakfast, clean and good sized rooms.

I would have liked porridge and wholemeal bread as options. I am pre-diabetic and cannot eat sweet things.
I liked the breakfast. The room was generously big and the food was good.

Would have preferred there being a lockable safe in the room.
Excellent location for getting to and from Venice. Room was a good size and was very clean. Staff were very polite.

Hotel needs more hangers to hang up towels/bags, etc. The room we stayed was on the 2nd floor, was very noisy on the 1st night. You can hear people talking outside till 3am and guests on the 2nd floor were talking in the hallway till 1am so didn't get a good night sleep.
Staff was very friendly and polite. Location of the hotel was good, near the train station. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of variety to choose from.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. It lived up to ur expectations of a three-year hotel close to the train station.
The room was comfortable. The staff pleasant. Located close to Mestre train station, a big plus for us.

The staff were incredibly slow and did not explain anything about the hotel. You just got your keys and sent on your way, without any information
It was close to Venice and the facilities were very nice and clean.

Ideal location for venice but beware pickpockets at the bus stop as we found to our cost. A stranger kindly handed our cash- empty wallet back and reception rang us late and kept it in the safe for us. Both finder and staff were very kind thankyou. Basic hotel, comfy beds and very soundproof. Good breakfast. 👍

Railway station nearby.
Excelent breakfast! Comfortable beds, very clean. Good location, very close to the island and good connection with train or bus. Big supermarket near the hotel, good restaurant and gelato, parking garage and public parking... You have everything you need in one place.

1. Location From main island in Venice, it’s quite far. By bus, 15minutes takes to get there. 2. Price Too expensive price compared to general attractions.
