It's hard and dangerous to get there by car. So be careful full if you are not used to driving in high inclinations.

The staff was super nice and accomodating. We got the top floor and it was an excellent experience. Specially for a couple. They let us park right in front of the hotel

As it's in an old building (though greatly renovated), it is missing elevator, so if you are on one of the top floors you will have to climb. Also unusual the clear shower in the room. So if you travel with family, it may be a challenge

Great hotel in a historical part of Coimbra. Very nice interior, a bit reminding fantom of the opera. Very nice, helpful and polite staff. Highly recommend.

This is a fun and unique property located on top of a hill with amazing views. It's near the university and botanical gardens and museums. The staff was fantastic!! So helpful with suggestions for meals, day trips and transportation. I loved the welcome sparkling wine and the breakfast in a basket brought to our room each morning was wonderful. Everything was great!! Catarina was so helpful and friendly.

In our room there wasn’t much space for our clothing. No cupboards and only one set of hooks for coats and bathrobes. We only stayed one night with hand luggage but for more days and more clothes extra space would be nice. Also no space to put toiletries in the bathroom. The pillows had no support. The table was cute but very small for the amazing breakfast in the room. Overall very happy but these would be some points to improve.

Great location, stunning views, comfortable bed and a jacuzzi! The staff was incredible friendly and we felt truly spoiled. The welcome drink was amazing and the breakfast was just wonderful! We will gladly come back!

No dinning table. Even a small one will do.

It is a whimsical hotel, designed like a palazzo in Venice. Staff is great, very helpful. Breakfast is delivered to your room. View from our room was magnificent, overlooking part of the city from a bird view point. Location is close by to Old University, which is a must see in Coimbra, on the top of the old town . Driving there is a lot of fun, particularly for north Americans. Narrow, steep, cobbled streets. Don't come with a big SUV, because you will have hard time to find a parking spot.

Nothing! The whole experience was amazing and we wish we stayed longer :)

We paid for the upgraded room and it was incredible! The hot tub was amazing, the view was incredible and the service was above exceptional! The breakfast was lovely and overall it was such an amazing experience that we will definitely be back! For those wondering about parking; yes it is difficult to find, however, there is a parking garage down the road.

Be prepared, it's a little difficult to park near, so you will most likely have to walk in with your stuff. However that didn't bother us.

Wonderful place. The woman at the the front desk was super nice and helpful, she even brought me drinks and cake because I was checking in on my birthday. I should have married her and stayed there.

We LOVED our stay in this hotel. Our room had the real 'wow' factor - a jacuzzi, a massive comfortable bed, lots of gold and glitz and shininess - very different from the places we normally stay in! The staff couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning in a basket and was delicious.

The batteries for the air conditioner were spent, so I used theTV remote batteries.

I was given a room upgrade so that I had a balcony with an ocean view. I was impressed with the strength of the door so security was never an issue. The staff was pleasant and allowed me to leave my backpack at the front desk while I hiked up to the lighthouse.

Wow! What a fantastically fun hotel! The hotel is in a series of small eighteenth century houses along the ancient fortified wall. They appear to all be different and the designers have adapted the space available, making each room unique. Our room was amazing, a quirky 3 storey layout with a jacuzzi on the lowest level, a tiny sitting area in the middle and a cozy, low ceilinged bedroom up top. The rooms are all small, as they would be in what I imagine was a modest home 300 years ago. But the space is used so cleverly and the decor has such whimsy that it just delights! It is equipped with lots of plugs, 2 TVs, oodles of usb ports and very fancy amenities. There is no central eating area, so the staff bring everything to your room. They were amazingly sweet about it, even though, when we visited, it meant bringing breakfast and complementary drinks to us in the rain. The hotel may not suit those who want a standardized prefab hotel experience, but if you want something singular, this place is perfect. We loved it and it will stay in our memories.

There was no where to hang or put luggage or clothes. All our clothes had to be set on the floor. Fine for 1-2 nights but after 3 nights it gets kind of old. The bathroom literally did not have a place to set a toothbrush. I should have noticed this on the pictures but I didn’t. So it’s kind of my bad

On a scale of 1-10 location was an 11. Super nice staff. I liked that they kept complimentary coffee and beer in fridge. Our room had a sweet view. Breakfast was delivered each morning to our room.

The apartment was located close to the university in Coimbra. The staff were very friendly and welcoming even providing a welcome drink and small gift on departure. It was a great place to stay for a couple of nights while exploring the town.
