How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is wonderful, close to all the attractions we wanted to see. The room was large, beautiful, and very comfortable. Super clean! The entire hotel gleams, and they have really good hand sanitizer at the entrances. The staff was super attentive and very kind and also efficient. The breakfast room is beautiful and bright, and the breakfast was delicious and had very many options. The breakfast had some of the softest bread I had in Turkiye. I just loved everything and would definitely come back to this hotel.

Some homeless people were around the main street at night.. they did not feel dangerous or aggressive but just be cautious as in any big city. The car park is on basement level and only accessible by a car lift so you will have to let the staff to park your car upon arrival... again not a big deal but be aware.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff were very helpful and attentive. All hotel facilities were in very good condition and well maintained. The breakfast was buffet with lots of options.. everything was very tasty. The room was good sized, bathroom clean and well functioning. We needed to keep the window closed to avoid smoke from people smoking opposite on the road, and to stop any noise, but that was not a problem to us. We had very good rest. The hotel is at walking distance from Konak square, very near the old city, and also at walking distance from the old Agora, Kulturpark and Alancak district. We had a great stay and surely would consider again if coming back to Ismir.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Emens Hotel. It ticked all the boxes for me, I spent 10 days in Izmir travelling alone. The hotel is super clean, I like the cozy yet modern interior, very comfortable bed, great location close enough to the sea and all necessary amenities, yummy breakfast, hot power shower, friendly and helpful staff.I definitely recommend this place! Book without hesitation, I am sure you will enjoy it!

I don't know what to add in this section. Perhaps, the district itself looks ugly and very unsafe at night. Obviously, this is not the hotel's fault but it will be better to take in consideration that this place doesn't feel safe.
This is truly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in Turkey. - Rooms are clean and fresh, not a single thing is broken. Amazing sound proof for a hotel in Turkey!!! My room was right next to an elevator and I couldn't hear anything (only door slams). - Staff is very polite and helpful. Most of them speak English. 1 hour early check-in wasn't a problem, but late check-out was not possible. Anyway, great staff! - Big lobby, lot's of places to sit, free 24/7 coffee machine.

The staff could smile more
It is a very nice hotel. It is only rated a 3 star. Perhaps it should be rated a 4 star. The rooms and the breakfast were excellent. Both were above expectations.

Very welcoming from the moment we arrived which was very early off the overnight train. We were offered, completely unexpectedly, breakfast and early check in at no extra charge. A great start to our couple of days in Izmir. Breakfast daily was excellent with great variety and quality. Also very good coffee. Barish at reception always went above and beyond to assist with whatever we asked. He was always welcoming, friendly, professional and made time to answer our many questions and provide information. Thank you Barish for making our stay so easy and enjoyable. Tour information provided (at the tour desk) was very helpful and informative with no pressure to book. Close proximity (easy walking) to the railway station and bus station for transport back to Istanbul. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet with plenty of hot water. Walking distance to waterfront cafes, restaurants etc

Everything about this hotel was great! Very nice staff, rich and very good breakfast. The room was just perfect for us, room service everyday. The hotel has private parking also wich was a mandatory criteria for us.

In the rooms you have to switch on the air con otherwise they are too warm

Rooms were a bit small.
Pleasant hotel with good service. Sertug was very kind at the reception. Lot of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance.

The coffee in the breakfast was bad esspresso and capuccino's are just instant coffee which i hated. It can get a little loud in the street.
The location was great for me as it was near everything but the streets are really busy. The bed was super comfy, and the water pressure was amazing. The rooms are new, therefore everything was perfect. Also the staff were very friendly. Free underground parking on premesis. The breakfast is an open buffet of turkish assortments, which was perfect.

The area around the hotel is a little run down, but close to the seafront and some good restaurants.
The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast buffet had a good range, especially of fruit, there’s indoor parking and the staff will park your car for you. Not far from the seafront and some good restaurants.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very nice, the breakfast buffet very good. The location of the hotel is a good walking distance from the historic district, the pear, nice restaurants and the tourist area.
