How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing we didn't like.
Lovely , stylish , modern hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable . The breakfast is delicious with lots of choice and a lovely view of the sea. Best of all is the stunning rooftop with amazing views and a beautiful pool to relax in . We loved our stay.!

We were a little annoyed that there was a private party on several occasions at the pool that we didn’t find out about until we had put on our suits and were at the door - boo. Also one evening there was a private party that was extremely loud until almost one pm, we were on the 6th floor, so not especially cool. Luckily i had headphones.
super friendly staff - especially the door people, so helpful with giving us ideas on where to go for the day, really lovely

The reception staff because he was not truthful about a checkout procedure I asked him. This led me to paying an extra night even though I didn’t sleep in the room.

Early check in much appreciated after overnight sleeper train from Ankara. Excellent gym, pool, and spa. Lovely room - thanks the upgrade. Great location for exploring the city! Lovely breakfast too

A special mention for Deniz who was extremely helpful when I was taken ill She organised quickly for me to go to hospital and get treatment Also for Cagatay who’s was a great organiser of trips and taxis. Special mention of the house keeper on the 6th floor She went out of her way to make us comfortable.

Great facilities particularly the spa, fitness centre and pool. Location is quite good. The staff were also very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Location, service staff, overall facilities. This hotel met my expectations for a Marriott, which is very high. If you're willing to pay a little more for a room at a Marriott hotel, they're hard to beat. From the facilities to the service levels, you could see and feel the difference in quality when compared to typical hotels nearby. We got a room facing the waters, and it was amazing.

You need to ask for bathroom amenities (such as shaving kit, toothbrush and etc) from in-room service which is not provided beforehand and there was only one bathrobe so we had to ask for extra. Toilet glass that shows body silhoutte is also unpleasant for those who value more privacy. Breakfast lacks variety considering the segment of the hotel.
Location was great, wifi was good, staff was helpful. Comfortable bed, complimentary free water is plus. Photo machine was also entertaining. In room dining food was good as well.

The rooftop pool was closed

The staff at this hotel is some one the best i have ever experienced. They truly care about their guest and are extremely attentive. I would especially like to thank the young lady working at the M.Club for her outstanding friendliness. There are many things around the hotel and in the room that show you that they really want to make your experience special.

Very good breakfast buffet. Warm egg dishes and other extras can be ordered separately. The hotel room with a sea view on the fifth floor was very comfortable and large. There is free coffee, tea and water in the room. The hotel is centrally located. The hotel staff was consistently helpful and very friendly, both in the hotel and in the wellness area. It is possible to rent bicycles free of charge. This is a great service.

The air conditioning/heating: it was not easy to maintain a constant temperature. Bedroom doors tend to slam shut unless held back, so guests leaving early in the morning or arriving back late at night disturb other guests. No drawers in wardrobe, desk, or bedside tables, although enough hanging space. Bread at breakfast was not good quality and was often not very fresh. Plenty of excellent bread available elsewhere in the city.
Breakfast was fine, with an extensive buffet selection. Dishes cooked to order were good. The location was ideal, being on the waterfront and close to many restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the sea view from my room spectacular
