The toilets had a smell probably due to plumbing of staying in a cave style hotel

The excellent bathroom in the room does suffer from a bit of a smell which is likely a more systemic issue for the town itself. If a person doesn't like hills the walk up to the hotel might pose a challenge.

Hüseyin is the consummate host. He arranged my tours and balloon ride perfectly despite the challenges posted by the weather and peak tourist season. The room is more than comfortable plus the breakfast is provided with care and attention to detail. Location of the hotel is great in that it is away from the heavily concentrated tourist hordes but close enough you can get to anything your heart desires.

Magical place. Top hospitality calm and relax. I have stayed in King suite a really peace of art carved In rock. A bridge between the old style and the modern touch with elegance and style. Breakfast sublime with fresh orange juice on arrival and offer of buffet and egg cooked a la minute offer but the chef. The host was really friendly, calm and accommodating. The soul of the place. We will definitely come back on the next visit.

Our stay in Cappadocia at the Sora Cave Hotel was wonderful. Breakfast was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was superb. Everyone was genuinely nice and welcoming - perhaps more than any other place we have stayed. The views from the upper patio were amazing. We arranged multiple private tours and dinners through the property owner, Huseyin. The guides spoke excellent English, were very knowledgeable about the history, culture, and religions of Turkey and beyond. The restaurants and activities he arranged were the best. This was one of the most memorable trips we have experienced - and we travel quite frequently.

No matter the ability of the staff to speak your native language, they all without exception made a valiant effort to communicate. It was such a cute and neat spot, smelled nice, and was spacious and comfortable. The overnight staff member was so accommodating and such a friendly face to see in the morning when preparing for the balloons. He woke us up with coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was so perfect. Outstanding experience. We will hopefully be back in the future.

There wasn’t anything I did not like. You won‘t regret booking at this family run hotel!

So happy I was able to stay at this small Cave Hotel in Cappadocia. The staff went truly above and beyond to attend to the guests from setting up tours and organizing transportation to recommending restaurants and finding balloon rides (not an easy task with several days of cancellation) . I travel extensively for work and it takes a lot to impress me but I loved everything about my stay at Sora Cave. The hotel is close to downtown but just a perfect distance from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street! If this hotel has availability during your stay in the area, you are in luck! Got to give a shout out to the manager Huseyin who is just an amazing host! I hope to bring my family back here next time I visit Turkey.

We loved everything about our stay ! The communication before our arrival was kind and helpful and made it possible to start our stay with a spontanious early check in and finish woth a late check out. The room and facilities have been amazing. We had a very spacious room and bathroom with an incredibly comfortable bed and a hughe shower and the room service has been outstanding. The breakfast has been freshly home made every day by the kindest women that also prepared personalised fresh omlettes every morning. I really wanna make a point of how amazing the host of this hotel is. He is going above and beyond to read every wish of your face in his warm welcoming nature and really creates a whole new standart of hospitality. He also has an extensive knowledge of the history of the area and likes to share it . We absolutely loved our stay at Sora cave, Thank you so much for having us. Jack & Katrin

At 3am we could hear the water running. It sounded like 3 persons took shower. It continued a long time. And at 5am, we had no idea but it sounded like a huge gas banner started working. That sounds woke up us. But we heard only once. People taking shower at 3am was 2 nights.

I love the room has a historical story. The old and new are mixed. I love the cabby area where I can lay down. I realized once upon the time we were all cave men. That’s sense, I feel very comfortable in the room. Breakfast was great. Two women worked there were very sweet. The house cleaner woman was very charming and lovely. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and kind. We should read his blogs.

There was no bedside table on one side of the bed - this is a very minor problem and in no way detracts from how wonderful this property is.

Great breakfast on the terrace. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. They packed a breakfast for us when we got up very early for the hot air balloon ride and also for our flight back to Istanbul. I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing! Everything was delivered and presented beyond our expectations.

We were greeted by Huseyin when we arrived. He was gracious and generous with his explanation of the property and the services offered. Our room was clean, interesting in design because it was in a cave and full of light. The breakfast was a big surprise. The number of different delicious treats was just overwhelming. You wanted to try everything on display. Bonus we were also offered an omelette on top of all the other items. The staff were lovely and gracious. Huseyin, our host came to the table after we were done with breakfast and offered us touring advice. We did it all. The location of the breakfast service was located on the top so the views over the valley were spectacular. We were getting ready in our room at 5:00 am to go out to watch the balloons when one of the associates (name I forgot) came with try of sweets and two cups of coffee and announced that he would tell us the best places to view the 175 balloons that would rise that morning. We were completely overcome by the kind and thoughtful gesture. Our stay wrapped up with a bag containing breakfast for our journey back to the airport. What a wonderful place to stay.

Nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Everything was perfect! Huseyin manages the hotel and he and his staff are the reason we had a perfect stay. Huseyin not only had the hotel in order, but also helped us set up all of the tours we wanted to take part in and he gave us valuable tips and recommendations. Huseyin is the reason we were able to ride the hot air balloon, enjoy the wonderful green tour and ride some horses. This truly made this trip very very easy and very relaxing. THE HOTEL IS AMAZING. The staff keeps the hotel spotless, from the bedsheets to the floor to the wall to the glass. Everything is clean. The cave will naturally let particles loose so don't be surprised when and if the floor feels dusty it's normal, all caves shed a little. The breakfast is to die for. This is the best breakfast I have had at any hotel ever. I have stayed at much more expensive hotels and none offer the personalized experience with local ingredients that Sora Cave offers. Location is beautiful, up almost all the way in Goreme and terrace offers a beautiful outlook. Everything is perfect, do yourself a favor and book Sora Cave. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Huseyin, Cihan and the ladies for making our stay an unforgettable one.

Everything was perfect!

Huseyin was an incredible host! He helped us with a plan for the day since we rented a car. He booked us tickets for a whirling dervish show. He made sure we had coffee and pastries at 4am for our hot air balloon ride. Breakfast was incredibly delicious.

Fantastic hospitality and service from the hotel staffs! Shout out to Hüseyin and Cihan for preparing dinner when we knew we will miss dinner due to late arrival and tight transfer time. Breakfast menu changed everyday, delicious and all are homecooked by kind staffs. Host is very responsive when asking questions. Room is actually better than expected!
