How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Transfer to the airport must be ordered in advance, because there are no regular shuttles from the hotel (airport) to airport (hotel).
Not a bad hotel, nice staff, but the phone numbers listed at the booking sites are not working or not actual.

Couldn't shut the tube faucet and the shower head wouldn't run much water for a comfortable shower. The elevator door had a weird and loud noise opening and closing. Receipt by email were unavailable.

Situated at a crossroads. Not a lot to do if you do not have a car....
We liked the generous choice of food at breakfast. Room was adequately equipped and clean enough. Efficient airport transport. Thank you.

It’s a personal preference but the bed had only a thin comforter for a cover so it got too hot when I used it and too cold when I didn’t. I needed a sheet. The shower head had no pressure and the water leaked from the faucet in the tub. The bathroom was clean and good size but the shower hardware seemed very old.
Close to the O’Hare airport. The bed was not too firm. The breakfast staff was very helpful and nice.

We were visiting family in Elk Grove Village. This facility was close to the highway and convenient to the area we were visiting. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

Couldn't go barefoot in the room. Carpet was gross, maybe like shampoo wasn't rinsed out after cleaning. Exhaust fan was in the shower, so pretty worthless. Ceiling was chipped and paint falling in bathroom. Toilet handle stuck so water kept running. Couldn't get two keys activated at same time. Definitely older and in need of renovation. Location OK as to vicinity of airport but nothing easily in walking distance for eating. (Was a brochure in room for Italian restaurant that delivered. It was amazing.) Shuttle was 30 minutes late for pick up at airport and didn't make it at all for pickup at hotel. They did hire taxis.
The people were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK. Snack prices very reasonable. Nice commons area.

The building was quite old. The elevator and certain features looked like they were out of the 80s. The pillows were kind of lumpy. The shower head didn’t work too well and screeched loudly but the water was hot so I can’t complain too much.
The bed was clean and comfortable with cool A/C. The room met my expectations for the most part and we slept well. The free breakfast had many options and was really convenient.

I booked 2 queen beds, but they were full size. I requested a crib for by baby, they didn’t have it. The iron and the ironing board were defective.
It’s clean and it smells good. Good breakfast. Good location.

It was no fault of the hotel staff but the main reason for booking this hotel was it's shuttle service to O'Hare Airport. We were lucky that we made it to the hotel as the shuttle broke down as we limped into the parking lot. I am thankful to the staff for booking us a taxi the next morning to the multi model facility next to airport.
The breakfast was very good. It was the best part of the stay.

The airport shuttle was very convenient and well organised, pick up was on demand and for airport transfer it can be booked in advance. The complementary breakfast was available early which is also very handy. The room and the rest of the hotel were clean.

Shuttle pickup from the airport was a shambles, drivers had no idea who they were collecting, or from where. We went back and forth between arrival terminals several times resulting in a very long time between landing and getting to the hotel. After you have been travelling for hours this is the last thing needed. Shuttle drop off in the morning however was very efficient.
Good variety of food in the breakfast buffet. Location is right in the foyer so not ideal, particularly when the weather was so cold.
