The owners/staff are extremely kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They allowed me to check in early and even let me use the onsen in the afternoon after checkout.

Our stay here was impressive, we had the deluxe family room, which was spacious and had a cozy Japanese vibe to it. The hotel staff was amazing and even though I changed our arrival day like 10 times and we arrived so late in the evening, dinner was prepared for us and we had a private traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. Absolutely incredible place to experience traditional ryokan-style stay. The staff were over-the-top, never before seen kind, patient, welcoming to us, while being professional and flexible. The place is beautiful and well equipped to keep us warm on the chilly Aizu nights, and the breakfast was culinary masterpiece. The staff were even kind enough to make us takeaway onigiri from the rice we couldnt finish. Overall an amazing experience, I recommend anyone to come here, and I thank all the kind staff for their lovely hospitality, cant wait to come back!

Surrounded by sacred mountains and untouched nature, Tamonkan is housed in a historic Japanese-style building. Complimentary tea and snacks are served to welcome guests. This was my third time staying and I will return again. I really love the cooking which uses many dishes only found in this area. It’s a short walk to the start of the Haguro San stair walk so it’s ideal to stay here if you are planning to do the walk.

Located within a 10-minute walking distance from the Zao Sky Cable aerial lift, Miyamaso Takamiya features 9 natural hot spring baths for guests to enjoy. An exceptional and authentic experience. The food was delicious, the staff was so welcoming and professional. This place heals your body and soul. 12/10!! We will be back for sure, recommended!!!

Located a 7-minute walk from Gosho Lake, Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen offers free WiFi and indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. JR Morioka Train Station is a 25-minute drive from the property. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. You won't have any problems even if you don't speak Japanese. The shared bath was very nice but the highlight for me was the private onsen, going in and out of the onsen while enjoying the night sky all night was a really nice experience. The food was exceptional, both dinner and breakfast.

Located in Kitakami, 42 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Yasuragino Yado -Iyashino Yu- provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property was immaculate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsen was the cleanest I’ve seen.

This was the most elegant and restful stay of my life. Food is incredible - deserves a bib gourmand! Rooms are large and comfortable with a view. Onsen is lovely. The best is the free alcohol and hot drink service in the evenings around the fireplace. Definitely stay here if you can! It’s once in a lifetime type stuff
