Helpful and friendly staff, I particularly like the spacious and comfortable lobby, well decorated with Chinese antique, a quiet and comfortable library corner and a mini bar with free coffee and snack.
My room was upgraded free to a deluxe family room, with good Mountain View. The free shuttle bus is convenient to commute to the train station. Everything in the room is clean and well-designed to suit the needs of a family with kids. Kids will never feel bored with the toys in the room and the children’s playroom on the third floor! Highly recommended for family vacations.

Yilan city is a suburban area.
Yilan city is a suburban area. If you like to experience the countryside but not that far in the city, Yilan is very recommended. There are so much activities to be done and a lot of off the beaten paths are worth the visit.

Yilan City definitely needs improvement in terms of public transport. If you are coming here without your own transport, do not expect to be able to get around like in Taipei, highly recommend renting a bike/car so that you can get to the destinations which are well spread out in this large city! Besides that, the city is well known for its hot springs and cold springs, beautiful beaches and paddy fields which would be perfect for a light cycling trip, and their unique food.

Yilan had numerous waterfalls with hiking, hot springs, beaches, beautiful green rice fields, and lovely stops. I enjoyed driving and seeing the differences of country living to city life. Some of our favorite places were Artemis Garden (soap making and succulent planting for a rainy day), Linmei Shipan Trail, Dongmen Night Market, Luodong Sports Park, and different hot springs around the area.

I have actually just moved to Yilan City to start a new job and stayed at "Jimmy's" while looking for an apartment to rent.
The city itself is without doubt the best place I've lived in/visited during my nearly three years in Taiwan.
Love it!

We loved National Centre for traditional arts, lots of traditional art works, cultural arts that you can see there. Children also enjoyed doing DIY activities there. Yilan riverside park was another place we enjoyed most. We had great time to ride the bikes together around the park.
The property has one of the best CP value. Cheap cost for living with high performance value. I also enjoyed the location which was next to cafes, convenient stores, and restaurants. Because I have a car, the site was able to reserve a parking spot nearby (1 min. walk away.) There is so much around - parks, lakes, rivers, museums, and culture sites. The butler was also super friendly, and he was able to help me figure out more about Taiwan culture and getting around Yilan.
Insane value for the price paid.
Coin operated dryer and washing machines are available, many toiletry items and water dispenser are in the lobby. Provided umbrellas in the room for rainy days. Japanese-style bidet for hands-free butt cleaning. Dehumidifier comes in handy for the humid weather.
Hotel is located very near Yilan train station, and is in the middle of the night market district, with stores and convenience stores within easy access from the hotel.
Hotel has design feature and service is good. The environment has many green area you could walk in the morning. The room is carefully thought. It has changed all night indicator into orange which is better than blue (blue tends to stimulate your brain and fool you it is still morning. Not good for circadium rhythem). Though the fire alert blinking is not orange. (likely not customizable.). Hotel employee are all helpful and polite.
Although the price is cheap, and the location is also good. But I didn’t know that it was a B&B from the Internet. There was no invoice, only a receipt. The service is not very good. People who are used to staying in hotels do not recommend this B&B. No drinking water is provided, which is very inconvenient for tourists. I will definitely not stay here again next time.
Biggest plus of this hotel was its location. just literally across the road from Yilan station. it was very convenient. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in a hotel. I typically struggle to sleep in new beds when I’m traveling but I just sunk into the bed at night and knocked out. The duvet was very comfortable as well
Checking in was easy and very minimal. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I like that the hotel has a bidet, which is rare in Taiwan. The self-laundry service was also convenient. Location-wise, it's very near to a night market and several convenient store. The main train station was also just a 5 minute walk away!
Free upgrade and replenish items for the kids every day even if we did not utilise it. Luxurious items provided. Room is very spacious and our children enjoy running around the room. Lots of activities for the kids. Hope to come back again to enjoy all the facilities in the hotel.
Very clean homestay place. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
If you're looking for a carefree hotel or one with little to no rules. Look elsewhere. If you're a couple, or a group that is respectable to the host then this place is for you

Great location - walking distance to yilan train station, dongmen night market. The property had everything it advertised and it was reasonably priced. Would stay here again if I were to come back to Yilan city.
Great value for money hotel that's well worth the price. The staff is really friendly and helped us check in early. The hotel is minutes away from Yilan station and very close to Dongmen night market.
Like the facility, available parking is one of the main good things about this hotel. Really like the response of the staff as we asking for the problem. The room is quite large and clean.
The hotel service was real helpful for my turn around trip to picked up my cared off big luggage. In that way my side trip to mountain stay was planned with comfort and lesser worried.
The hotel is a short walk from Yilan train station. There are also restaurants nearby. Fantastic choice if one is looking for a convenient location. The room is spacious too.
Good location. Near the station and night market. Plenty of options since there are also a lot of restaurant near the hotel. Very big and nice bathroom.
