Blue bay is perfect for a typically Mauritian beach holiday.
Blue bay is perfect for a typically Mauritian beach holiday. There are no large shops or fancy restaurants. There is a shopping centre a short ride away, but in general this is a quiet area, which is exactly what we wanted. It was our fifteenth, yes 15th visit to Le Peninsula Bay hotel, and it is perfect for our needs. The hotel is not a 4 or 5 star, but a very good 3 star. Most rooms have sea views. Excellent beach.
Excellent beach. Lots of outdoor options -- boat trips, SCUBA, snorkelling, wildlife tours. The Bougainville Restaurant was superb. The nearby BoVallon Shopping Centre was new, and a great place to shop.

Blue Bay is a good location, but it is very windy.
Blue Bay is a good location, but it is very windy. (September) Near the Air Port. Excellent shopping Mall. Great local markets. Many good (local) restaurants. Great diving spot. Driving in Mauritius is a challenge. Although they drive on the left (Like in South Africa) the roads are mostly very narrow. Motorists stop on these narrow streets to pop into a shop. You have to find a way around them. The M2 highway is a very good road, but full of roundabouts. Every 3,4 Km there is a roundabout.

Beautiful place with beatiful sea and sea life, white sand on the beach. The village is quit silent and there are not so many people. What is little bit disadvantage, there is just one small shop and only about three restaurants. If you are looking for night life is better to go to the flic flac resort. But we were very happy about staying in Blue Bay.

What an amazing place to stay and the locals where very friendly and always willing to assist when needed. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys snorkeling. Just remember when you go to take your snorkels and shoes to go into the sea. This was a beautiful and amazing holiday with so much beauty.CraigSouth Africa

Set in the most beautiful garden with a fabulous private swimming pool-peaceful & relaxing and a five minute walk to the stunning Blue Bay beach; we loved every minute and really appreciated the assistance of a respectful,knowledgeable and very helpful owner- nothing too much trouble. A true heaven on earth which we fully recommend.

I had a room with a sea view and was able have breakfast and evening drinks looking out onto Blue Bay. I would recommend Villa Bella to any first time visitors to Blue Bay and Mauritius.

I can only recommend this property for all travelers. Blue Bay is so unspoiled place, piece of paradise. I will come back!
