Vasteras is a midsize town on the shore of what to me seemed like large lake, later I realised it was see deep in the middle of Sweden with beautiful islands, deep forests around. The city center is small but nice.

Fifth city of Sweden, located at a big lake. The city is not very big but has some nice park and canals. There are two nice cosy recreation harbours with nice eateries like Argrill and Bryggans bar. The Steamhotel is very impressive and very well renovated. It also has a sky bar with a great view. Sauna facilities could be used for non hotel guests as well. Restaurant Limone is one of the best places to eat pasta’s, during lunch time prices are more attractive. You can easily travel from Vasteras cs to arlanda airport by buss nettbuss or flixbus. To Stockholm a train is a better option.MichielNetherlands

There was a bit delayed to get the key but the restaurant and bistro staff are very helpful and friendly to offer us a light breakfast - coffee and homemade cake. And let us getting ready in the bistro while waiting the reception. That's the best from them! We wish to come back and stay longer to enjoy the beautiful nature and friendly people from Vasteras.
