Beautiful setting & gardens. Very close to Ambleside town. Friendly reception. Lovely spacious room & bathroom seemed recently renovated/new. Very big and comfortable bed. Bathroom very nice & clean, usually a shower over a tub is not the best, but it worked well & had a folding glass screen & were able to shower or have a soak in the tub. Coffee pod machine & kettle in the room was nice to have. TV. Hairdryer supplied. Fan for warmer days supplied.

The Wateredge Inn was a perfect location for us to discover the Lake district for the first time. We had the standard room and it was finished to a high standard with a lovely Bathroom with bath and comfortable bed and linens. Breakfast was also included and this was a great start for each day before going hiking. Brilliant buffet selection so you could have as little or as much as you like. Good quality ingredients. A lovely added extra was because we were staying for more than 2 nights they did a free drink in their pub for each or us if we chose to not have our room serviced. This is brilliant for the environment but also got a free pint in the evening for both of us (wine, single sprits and soft drinks included as well) pub was lovely downstairs and we did eat their twice when we were too tired to go out after walking and great selection of food. Definitely will be back. We did review our stay and this can be found on our Youtube channel - search Masonmemories :)

A lovely place with lots of amenities. Excellent bus service and lovely walks from the village. A short walk to the lakeside and lovely boat trips. Scenery is superb and it's an ideal centre for exploring the Lake District
This hotel was very well run. Breakfast excellent, room excellent spotlessly clean, Staff in all areas of the hotel were very helpful friendly and professional. I loved the Spa facilities they were lovely and totally relaxing and again very clean. My husband travels worldwide so can be quite critical of hotels as he's been in the best and the worst of them and he thought ambleside salutation hotel was great and he made no negative comments ...and that's saying something.
Fantastic little cottage right in the centre of all local amenities. Lots of pubs / restaurants on your doorstep. Everywhere was super dog friendly. Ambleside was a great base for us to explore the Lake District.
the cottage was beautifully decorated, lovely and cosy, with a smart tv in both the lounge and bedroom. The hosts were great, brilliant communication and very friendly. Couldn’t recommend more!
Everywhere in the hotel was very clean and decorated very nicely. The food was lovely. The afternoon tea was outstanding. The bedroom was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The hotel was exceptionally dog friendly. The grounds were lovely. Overall, a nice hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.
Intimate and cosy little lodge with en suite bathroom. It was such a lovely little getaway in Ambleside and very close to the little village full of shops, pubs and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and Rob was such a lovely and attentive person who made our stay perfect. Thank you.
Nice, decent size and bright room with spacious bathroom that met our expectations. In the heart of Ambleside, which is a little gem of a town. Whilst the hotel rooms are above the pub and in the town centre, there was very little noise and we had great nights sleep.
It was self-catering, so there was no breakfast. The accommodation had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. The location was great for traveling around the Lake District and it was very convenient to walk in to the village to the pubs and stores.
Extremely nice owners - make you feel at home. Great location in the center of Ambleside which is a cute little town to explore the Lake District from. Comfy bed. Tasty big breakfast which is made by owners. Great value for money
The hotel was very nice, the staff were extremely helpful, very dog friendly, lovely location, we would stay their again, food was very good, our dog got a sausage for breakfast every morning and helped a very nervous dog relax.
