Scarborough is a beautiful seaside town, it has everything you need to have a relaxed holiday or lots to do for the kids! Peasholm park is a beautiful place with a huge lake and forest trails and a model ship naval battle in the summer! you can see squirrels running around, and loads of different insects! there's an app you can get to search for dinosaurs its great! Or you can spend the day on the beach with the donkeys! take a pirate ship trip around the bay or ride a speedboat! open top buses are every 20 minutes back and forth to the park and sea life centre too. The town has lots of shops everything you need if self catering too, great bars and restaurants and of course lots of fish and chip shops!

    Scarborough has something for everyone.

Scarborough has something for everyone. The north shore where I stayed is quieter but has the castle at one end and the sealife centre at the other. The miniature railway and park are nearby. The beach is clean and dog friendly ( they are not allowed in high season). The south shore has the amusements, more tourists shops and the pier. There are boat tours you can book here too. There are many museums to visit, one ticket to visit them all. If self catering, many small store and supermarkets are around along with the main town centre where you will find a variety of local artisan shops and restaurants as well as more mainstream ones.

Like many seaside towns Scarborough is run down and dirty it...

Like many seaside towns Scarborough is run down and dirty it attracts many people who are looking for seasonal work but often have social problems making for an unpleasant atmosphere in the streets. There is a virtual plague of Seagulls they are everywhere fighting, squawking among themselves dive bombing in the streets aggressively pinching food, bird droppings adorn all the buildings and the streets. It would not harm the birds to move them by not allowing them to nest on buildings. There is not much to do in the town other than eat, drink and play the penny slots. The shopping is very poor. The beach is very nice and the park also. The water park is currently closed. The outdoor theatre does have very good concerts in the summer and would be the only reason to come back. Dog lovers should love the town but it's not for me.

A beautiful little town with so much to offer, we were booked for only 2 nights but we were so lucky because the weather was very good, I went down to the beach at sunrise and it was so calm and relaxing and not cold at all. There is so much to see and do but just didn't have time, planning on coming back soon.

It’s never going to have the same clientele or whether of the south of France but what it lacks in the weather it makes up for in the welcoming atmosphere of its people and the beautiful scenery is never going to be replicated anywhere else in Europe. The only thing that I would recommend to anyone who is interested in opening a restaurant, go for it as it is not over blessed with top quality restaurants in and around the central area of the town.

Everything was just great. I have no complaints at all, infact I will be recommending the Norbeck to friends and family , the location and views from the Hotel are unbeatable. The staff where all very helpful and a pleasure to to deal with ,we had entertainment 1 night and that was quite good , and there was a famous entertainer staying there at the same time so you know it must be good , Having stayed in Scarborough many times at many different establishments ,the Norbeck is the best I have stayed at

The Kingsway is one of the best Bed and Breakfast Hotels I have stayed in .. The owners have made every effort to make the Hotel cover free which is essential. Everywhere is immaculately clean with pure white bedding and huge white towels . Breakfast great cooked to perfection. Location good too. .Don't hesitate if you thinking of going to Scarborough stay at The Kingsway. You won't regret it .

The best of the hotel is the exterior and location, and the Victorian stair and lobby (This hotel is a hotel of two extremes). The exterior is a Scarborough landmark with the views and lift nearby leading down to the coast area - the high street is also nearby. I would say the hotel very much trades off these glories (but then these can all be experienced without booking in).

Everything was perfect, so clean and comfortable. Loved the log fire and an added bonus of the Christmas tree. Everything in this cottage has been thought through. The colors are calming, the decor is lovely and I love having 2 toilets. The Scarborough arms has good food and is a 5 min walk.
