You need a car if you want to go to the city or restaurants...
You need a car if you want to go to the city or restaurants at night. I recommend to you take a hotel with good facilities (restaurant, bar, pool...) so you don't need to go out every night if you wanna have dinner. Tamandaré is super calm during low season, the beach is amazing, locals are super nice and gentle. Perfect place to make a family trip.Gustavo GarcezSpain

From their you can walk to the fort in less then 10 minutes. The main areas of town are a similar distance away. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I had broken my toe whilst there (didnt break it at the hotel) and they brought up breakfast for me which was very kind. The pool was nice and service from the bar also good, plenty of choice at breakfast as well. The owner spoke English which was also helpful when we were looking to head onto Maragogi.

It is not a hotel, but a house and they let it very clear on the description, and that makes the price better than hotels in the same beach. You don't really need to speak to the staff, but anything you need they are there to help you (from tips on where to go to replace the water gallon). .
