The all inclusive option was great for people who want to take most of their meals at the resort. The resort is not close to the center of the town. The shuttle bus times to the beach were limited The resort supplied no wash cloths.

Salalh is not ready to tourists. a very poor area along the coast, dirty apartments, the food is mostly street food. locals are often not friendly and can be aggressive. Taxi drivers at the airport are generally trash. The local nature is beautiful, but if there is a car. you can't swim from June to October, it's terrible. There are no promenades, parks for walking. There is nothing to see and very expensive prices. In general, I do not recommend it. In my list of countries, this country is in last place.

Salalah is a very beautiful place with amazing nature including mountains, deserts and beach. It has a reach history and culture which is somehow deferment than Muscat with its tribal traditions, delicious food and green areas. Visitors must enjoy picnics on the mountains to see waterfalls and wadis. Special camel meat (Madhbi) is one the best to me as well as many modern restaurants and coffee shops everywhere. Add on that the people of Salalah are very kind and friendly welcome the guest
Alright, so Initially I booked Fanar, when I reached the property and saw the room, the room was untidy and there were marks on the floor the balcony was full of water in the corner. But on complaining I was offered to stay in a Juweira Hotel which was 4 star and they wouldn’t refund my money, I checked the Juweira and it was much much cleaner and better than the “5 Star” Fanar.
But yeah I had a good time in Juweira, food was okay.
Beautiful hotel, they gave us an upgrade since the window in the room didn't open. They gave us a room much bigger with a balcony without any additional cost. We have appreciated this. The pool and the gym were amazing. The staff very kind and helpful. The girl at the reception gave us some contact for excursion to Fazayah Beach. We called Ahmed and he was amazing. We suggest him for excursion near Salalah.
* Very close to shops & restaurants (food was delicious and amazingly cheap)
* Some of the attractions are within walking distance.
* The optional 1 omani riyal breakfast was quite good.
* The lounge area and the lobby were pleasant. We enjoyed sitting in the quiet and well maintained lounge to take our breakfast.
* Staff were very friendly and polite.
* Towels and toiletries were provided.
It's only 5 minutes walk from where the bus from Salalah arrives and the same to the stop from where the bus to the airport leaves.
There are many restaurants & coffee shops close by.
The hotel looks like it's new and has marble tiled floors throughout. Everything's spotless.
The staff were helpful and welcoming.
There's a coffee shop on site. The onsite restaurant is open for breakfast only.

I was hosted by the receptionist Fakhri and I can not explain how amazing he was. he helped us a lot with smile on the face. I believe because of him I managed my trip to become very remarkable and well organized.
he is one of his kind and he represents Omani brothers and sisters in well put way
Location is perfect for visiting the mountains and Darbat valley. And not far from Salalah. The bay area is wonderful to walk around.
Rooms are quiet and sound proofed and Spacious . Kitchen is well equipped.
Very polite and helpful staff especially Mr. Suliman.
The breakfast was yummy. Wi-Fi is the best, The Hospitality is the best I ever had in Salalah. Special thanks to the entire team of Gateway. The Salalah Gardens mall, Al Haffa Beach and Airport is very close to the hotel .We will visit again near future.
Everything was amazing, we loved the hotel's pool area, the beach and the private villa with pool - was possible to cast our phone to TV's in the room, and enjoy a really nice romantic weekend as a couple in privacy.
one of the best place to stay in Salalah, located in prime location. Hotel neat & clean, friendly staff. there is coffee shop adjourned with hotel. Reasonable price and high quality services. highly recommended
Reasonable room size, nice modern designs, nice swimming pool, good playing options for kids, good location near Salalah Grand Mall (2 Omani Rial in Taxi) acceptable surrounding view (palm/banana farms).
Good mix of omani, middle eastern and western guests. No resort like people. Great courtyard garden and shopping mall providing an excellent supermarket. Lively day and evening but not bad in any way!
The room size is spacious , clean, comfortable, and the staff was amazing .
They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Salalah…
