Perivolos has the best beach I've seen in Santorini.
Perivolos has the best beach I've seen in Santorini. It is sandy and doesn't have any big stones on the entrance to the water. It gets very deep in the water very fast. There are many lovely bars and restaurants, and it is easy to reach either by car or by bus from Fira. Great relaxing vibe. Wonderful food & drinks at reasonable prices. Great beach which is deep as soon as you walk in. Perfect weather & water temperatures in August when we stayed there. Perivolos is a good place if you want to be close to the...
Perivolos is a good place if you want to be close to the beach and in a quiet area. But there are not many shops around that you can walk to quickly, so a car is needed to get to bigger supermarkets and bakeries. It's possible to take the bus to Fira but can be very crowded. You can book taxis to get around but they are not cheap, 35-40 euros one way to Fira.

Other than the beach which we did not like and the restaurants right out the back of the hotel, there was nothing you can walk to. We had to take car service wherever we wanted to go. We spent a lot of money on cars.

Go visit the sunrise in the morning it is equally beautiful as a sunset in Oia. Take a swim in the sea and many options for water sports on the beach. Take a left turn on the beach road and visit Perissa beach as well at night (beautiful restaurants). The front office person was super welcoming and always wanted to help. The room was super clean and well decorated. Pleasant neighborhood. Well recommended.AnkanGermany

The manager or owner is quite nice and a sweetheart, he is like a bouncer for the hotel and the rental chairs on beach. I rented an umbrella, two chairs and a table for 12 euro. that’s the cheapest you’ll get and it’s very peaceful and so worth it. The room was super quaint with stonework I have never seen before as the bed frame, along with, the bench near bed. can’t say enough good things. also, loves the balcony to sit outside and enjoy the breeze and listen to the waves at night!

The beach was excellent, clean and clear waters, would highly recommend Perisa for people wanting to spend around a week in Santorini. The buses are well connected to Thira (about half an hour bus ride) and depart/arrive quite frequently.
