We came here after finishing the Lost City Trek and this was perfect to recharge. When we went to Tayrona Park after, the owner helped us getting a ride with motor taxis and when it turned out I forgot something, he send a motor to bring it to us at the entrance to the park.

Super welcoming and attentive staff - they were really taking care of their hotel guests. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried all the local dishes on their menu.

Hostal Principio Tayrona, a property with a garden, is set in Calabazo, 24 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, 27 km from Santa Marta Gold Museum, as well as 27 km from Santa Marta Cathedral. The owners of this Hostal are very friendly and helped me to book my stay in Parque Nacional Tayrona. They are very flexible with changes of plans and the breakfast is delicious.

I’ve never stayed somewhere where the manager has been so friendly, welcoming and helpful before and during my stay! Thank you so much for that. The hotel is cute - really pretty and well kept gardens and a pool to use as well. The rooms are basic but you get exactly what you pay for. Would recommend to anyone who wants great value for money when visiting Tayrona park.

Villa Del Río is located near El Zaino and 6 km from Los Cocos Beach. It features free parking. Each room here will provide you with a fan. The private bathroom also comes with a shower. Very helpful staff (no English though), absolutely peacfully located next to the river, very nice place, not far from entrance to Tayrona

Posada Villa Margarita in Santa Marta, just 5 km from the Tayrona National Park, offers an on-site restaurant which features a free daily continental breakfast, a hammock-filled garden and free... I chose Villa Margarita for its multiple positive reviews and was not disappointed. First, all bedrooms are located over the top of a hill, most of them having a nice view of the sea. Second, Mila was an exceptional host; she warmly welcomed us and told us everything we needed to know. We stayed in the suite with a mountain view, which was very spacious and private, and its bathroom was immaculate. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and I will totally recommend Villa Margarita for a nice vacation surrounded by nature and close to the beach.
