Always a good trip to Airlie. Weather was a bit wanky but otherwise great, plenty to see and do regardless. If you are keen on some outdoor and open water activities, Airlie is the place to be. Family-friendly with a great night life for the single crowd, there's something for everyone. Plenty of great places to explore, a variety of food options, and an overall great town for the general day to day. Living less than 2 hours away does make it a go-to for a quick getaway, and choices range from camping to hotels to Air BnB stays, there really is a place to suit everyone. Town is always vibrant and busy with something going on.

What a great place to visit.
What a great place to visit. The weather is great, the town is abuzz with great bars and restaurants. The Airlie lagoon is a great place for kids to swim. The Coral sea marina is a magic place to hang out at night to relax and enjoy some fine dining. The Garden Bar, Sorrento and the Rocks are great places to start.
Getting around Airlie is so easy. Taxis run constantly and are readily available. Most resorts run shuttles 3 to 4 times a day into the Airlie lagoon and airport transfers can be organised depending on the where you're staying.

I Need Airlie Beach!
I Need Airlie Beach! It has destressed me many times after extreme personal or work stress.
The view, the perfect water temps in unheated pools, the ten minute rain storms that give way to a perfect day.
It is better to stay at Airlie Beach, in my opinion, than on the islands, as they offer greater amenities and diversity, plus you still have to charter a boat from an Island or the mainland anyway. Tip for the island resorts: Offer discounted or all inclusive water charter packages and advertise it heavily, or find yourselves derelict facilities bought by a Chinese Company.
Always check the weather. Bad weather or Coral spawning night means poor water clarity.
Don't swim where the locals won't, due to crocs and Wear your Stinger suit. A box jellyfish came within a foot of me a week ago before I saw it and I have been snorkelling since 1985, spending countless hours and a total of four weeks camping on Lady Musgrave Island.
Don't book during the wet season if you are not prepared to be dissatisfied with a patch of bad weather. Do your research.

Fab place and great for visiting the islands.
Fab place and great for visiting the islands. Information about transport to islands confusing. Would book a crossing to Hamilton island as a ferry passenger next time and not as part of one day tour, better value for money

2 different parts of Airlie beach in our opinion. 1 half for clubbing and definately active beach vibe. Great hostel in a good location. All around the Main Street. The other half heading towards the Marina has a much more laid back, up market vibe if you are looking for a little more luxury to your Airlie time. Very few restaurants open for food for example after around 6 in Main Street. On the marina were fantastic places without music and karaoke if that suits you better.
Restaurant and Bar was exceptional
Staff were more then accommodating so friendly so welcoming
Didn't catch her name but the blonde hair women that worked evenings behind the bar was so lovely got to know us and what we liked to have during our stay and her cocktail making skills were out of this world.. we had cocktails all over Airlie Beach and non compared to the ones she made at the bar of the Mantra club croc ! Just delicious
Thank you highly recommend 👍 👌
this property has everything you could ever need from hammocks to a pool, to a kitchen and laundry, pool table, large casual area to gather with many eating areas nearby, grocery store and liquor :) I wish I would have booked it sooner but wasn't sure how close it was to town. Now I know super close with beautiful boardwalk connecting to Airlie Beach or bus stop right outside the property.
I couldn’t imagine any accommodation better than this in Airlie Beach! The apartment is large, modern and clean, with everything we could possibly need. The location is second to none, with Woolworth just across the road, and pubs, restaurants, cafes, airlie beach lagoon, the port just steps away. We had our best holiday here. Thanks for pavilion collection apartments. Great job!
The view was incredible and the location was very peaceful. This is one of the few options to stay in Shute Harbour (vs directly in Airlie Beach) which was important to use as we had a boat to catch from Shute Harbour. The space was very comfortable and lots of little details included that made it feel luxurious. The best part was meeting the host Natalie. She was extremely kind.
Brilliant central position above the Deck, one of the best restaurants in Airlie Beach and super close to the lagoon.
The hotel is still quite new, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed on the sea- side and the sound proofing was good- unsure if staying on the town - side closer to Magnums nightclub would have afforded us such a restful sleep
the water view room was misleading. the trees were blocking the view of the horizon. the gallery is close to a block of rooms and there is poor sound proofing so if there is a large group in the gallery it can be quite loud. it is close to magnums which means late nights can also be noisy especially given that there is a parking lot directly behind the hotel
Excellent location on the main road of Airlie beach, close to everything! Hotel offers bag storage if you are heading onto a boat for a few days as well as bus/ airport transport if you need it. The rooms were lovely, everything you need, very clean and extremely comfortable beds!
we had 2 reservations to this hotel - one with jetstar (and the room was not very good - old and disappointed bathroom/toilet room 66) one with booking.com ( at the same price but very well equiped, modern - unfortunately we had injury with some glass on the floor - room 26)
2nd stay here, 15 years apart and apartments still as lovely. Staff were very helpful and apartments were lovely and clean and well catered for families.
Views over Airlie beach are stunning from the balcony and the infinity pool is the icing on the cake.
The staff at the mirage were amazing.
the location in itself is amazing but a little bit further than expected to main area of Airlie beach.
The hotel needs a little maintained and updating but was a great trip & stay.
Comfortable large apartment very clean with modern kitchen
Overlooked the bay and within walking distance of Airlie Beach
Buffet breakfast included in tariff which was very good plenty of choice in food available
Loved the fact it felt like you had a little cabin in the jungle.
Super cheap storage of bags for while you're away on overnight boat trips too.
The location was absolutely bang in the middle of Airlie Beach.
I had a great time with Mick in Airlie Beach. I felt very comfortable. Mick was easy and welcoming. The house is very clean and has a great view of the sea. In addition, there is fresh fruit every day, perfect!
the staff - very friendly and helpful, including advice on your bookings etc. My daughter left her teddy on the bed when we checked out and the hotel sent it home to us within a few days. that was amazing.
Loved every aspect of the hotel. Many times I have travelled to Airlie Beach, but this was the first time staying at ABH. The location was perfect, the room was great and the views were amazing
Good staffs, clean apartments, astonishing view, lots of things to do and facilities in the hotel, good bar and foods. Overall very good experience, will definitely recommend.
View was absolutely stunning. Great location, close to Port of Airlie for hamilton island and great barrier reef adventures. Quick walk to airlie beach and restaurants.
The apartments have the best views in Airlie Beach. Each room has a fantastic vista out to sea. Very modern and lovely and clean.
Highly recommend a stay here.
