Parking in the centre of Port Macquarie was in very short supply. Bikes being ridden on the breakwater path was dangerous. The gentleman cleaning tables and seats on the boardwalk is doing a great and friendly service for the tourists.

Billabong Zoo is a must see when visiting Port Macquarie.

Billabong Zoo is a must see when visiting Port Macquarie. The zoo is easy to get around and can book personal up close encounters with some of the animals such as Koalas, meerkats, red pandas, snow leopards, cheetahs, little monkeys and if you are game snakes. The highlight for me is always the Meerkats. For the little ones you can get food to feed the kangaroos. Lunch at the zoo was very reasonably priced and delicious. Sea Acres boardwalk through the rainforest followed by morning tea or lunch should also go on the list. Westport Bowling Club is great value for money for dinner and a lovely club overlooking the Hastings River. For a lovely Sunday afternoon drink with live entertainment head to The Beach House in the Royal Hotel overlooking the Hastings River.

Loved the emphasis on wildlife especially koalas.

Loved the emphasis on wildlife especially koalas. Visited koala hospital and Sea Acres. Beautiful. Town had all the shops you'd want...some good clothing shops and Book Face. Also loved Hello Koala shop.

    Very clean. Great location.

Very clean. Great location. Very quiet considering we were on the ground floor close to the street. It seemed that the bathroom had been recently renovated as it looked quite modern. We were in a large 4WD, so parking was a bit tight. Undercover parking was available but we had to remove our aerial (which was not a problem.) Would definitely stay here again for an overnight stop.

The beautiful scenery around the river & beaches.

The beautiful scenery around the river & beaches. Town Beach for a swim was perfect. Good seafood & chips at Lighthouse Beach fish & chip shop. Old RSL Club was perfect for our evening meal with good facilities & a great view of the river. Port Macquarie is easy to get around by car or on foot. Even though our visit was in school holidays it wasn't too busy or overcrowded. Good fishing, boat hire was reasonably priced. Lovely parks & gardens.

We often stay here when in Port Macquarie as it is a great location, rooms are good and service is excellent. Being able to walk from the hotel to shops, restaurants, cafes and beaches is so comfortable and convenient. The car is in a covered security carpark with lifts to each level to make luggage handling a breeze. The rooms are comfy, with excellent facilities including a balcony. Reception was able to hand me an envelope with keys and information prepared for my arrival and there were follow up SMS instructions in case of late arrival.

Stayed her before and it's a lovely location but just needs to keep on eye on cleaniness and not just clean the same areas day in day out. Might be picky but bathroom vents, skirting, frame of shower screens are just some areas and the smell. Use something to make the rooms smell fresh not musty. On our trip up we stayed at a Motor Inn at Port Macquarie in a renovated room and the attention to detail in cleanliness was amazing. Nice hotel tho but just for the price I'd expect excellence

To be honest this hotel needs to think about the prices they are charging a night for a very basic accomodation. The location is great and the bed, although small was comfortable. However the rooms are tired and need a revamp. Small touches such as some decent shower gel, nice tea and coffee and a couple bottles of water for guests would make a difference. I have stayed in much nicer accommodation for cheaper. On the plus there is parking, a hot shower and is very central.

the room was very clean and tidy and there were lots of facilities such as laundry, BBQ and guest kitchen, so for an extended stay, it was good. It is also close to coles shopping, the university and also the hospital. we stayed here as it was cheap and we had to attend a two-day swimming carnival so basically in and out each day. All we needed was somewhere clean and today with a warm shower and fridge

Location was good. Staff were very friendly. Cleanliness in the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Not enough things like dishwashing liquid or a cloth to wipe up any spills. Cockroaches in the bathroom also. HOWEVER, I chose my accommodation in order to match what I could afford (in Port Macquarie), for 4 nights, so I’m not complaining, just offering up my feedback, as asked.

Shelley Beach Resort was perfect for our family vacation. Great facilities... pool, spa, games room& tennis court onsite to keep kids occupied. The staff were so friendly & accommodating. The apartments were clean & comfortable & we had our own parking spot next to the apartment. We had a wonderful time & will definitely stay here again.

The hostel by itself is amazing (clean bedrooms and showers, swimming pool, ping pong table, pool, barbecue) but what I really liked was the vibe between everyone. People are chill, and respectful, always available to have a talk, and the services from the hostel allow us to bond really fast (cheers to the cheap surf lessons).

We initially intended to only stay one night, however had car issues as soon as we arrived in Port Macquarie. Staff were super helpful in extending our stay and keeping us in the same room for our extended stay over a long weekend. Comfy bed, modern bathroom. Safe car park. Easy walk into town.

Lovely hotel, I loved the room layout and my view was very nice, I didn't have a full ocean front view but I watched the sunset everyday which was very nice. Bed was very comfy. Location was perfect so I didn't have to drive just to get down to the main town shops and waterfront.

Beach was quite a distance from the caravan park. Cabins could do with a reno, lounge and bed uncomfortable. Hot water in short supply many cold showers. Good size kitchen - well equipped. Nice park with lots of trees and birds.
