It was a good location for us for mountain walking and lovely view of the lake from the restaurant balcony. Very quiet in November but enough for us to do over a couple of days stay.
Because it's a quiet time the restaurant is not open. Also worth saying that it only opens in July/August.

There are so many activities to experience during a Jiindabyne summer. Hiking is boundless, mountain biking is breath-taking, there are multiple craft breweries to visit and so many swimming spots along the lakefront. Hiring kayaks and fishing equipment is also possible but we ran out of time!!

I recommend staying at Jindabyne for the summer and winter seasons. The drive to Thredbo is a quick drive. The roads are cleared in snow season, we didn’t need to use the chains. Parking is easy and there’s free busses to the ski lifts. No need to stay in Thredbo. Jindabyne is much cheaper and has restaurants and the supermarket. I would never stay in Thredbo again. The supermarket is tiny and expensive in Thredbo. We stayed on the lake in a cabin which was perfect. We go for mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in winter.

Jindabyne is a nice and quiet place to have a short break during the summer. The lake is good for water activities, and being positioned at the foot of the mountains means day trips to Thredbo and Perisher/Charlotte Pass is an easy run. There are plenty of places still open to eat and a full supermarket for any other needs. There are also other activities going on in Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains through the summer, so google to see what's on and when.

Jindabyne is like a poor cousin toQueenstown NZ.
Jindabyne is like a poor cousin toQueenstown NZ. Nothing much happens off-season, but it is picturesque and a great jumping off point to Kosciouszko National Park. There's a little coffee shop, Jindabyne F2, very good hot chocolate. But the brasserie at Banjo Patterson on the main drag was disappointing. And the carpark at Nugget's Crossing Shopping Centre is a nightmare.

It was a great place to stay although a warning when planning a trip for those on blood thinning medication, please factor in the altitude may have an effect on you!! It did for me with breathing and pressure on my body, although each person is unique and may be affected in different ways. You might not have any problems, just be aware of the possibility.
Beautiful views, great walking track around the lake and lovely sights of Thredbo and Perisher not far away.

It was a very scenic place. Good place for ski hire.
It was a very scenic place. Good place for ski hire. The only let down was the restaurants. They were too expensive like $28 for 10 pieces of pasta with only pasta. The Japanese restaurant need a booking to enter.
Our lake facing loft room was very clean, obviously recently refurbished.Very large new flat screen TV with access to standard channels and Youtube but not Netflix or Stan.Balcony with table and chairs overlooking Bowling green and lake Jindabyne which was a highlight. On site parking at the back.Full buffet breakfast included with our booking.Beds and pillows very comfortable.Situated right next to old shopping/restaurant centre on main road into town.Woolworths and other retail and restaurants only a five minute walk away.
The hotel was easy to find... a little off the main highway into Jindabyne. The rooms booked by us were huge with a small patio to sit out facing the lake. On the first night, we were the only guests in the hotel which would have been a bit scary if we weren't travelling with family. The complimentary breakfast was adequate with a choice of cereals, bread, juice, yoghurt etc. The restaurant was shut for other meals during our stay so cannot comment on the service or quality of food
Loved the room - it was really nicely fitted out, both in how it looked and the clever way the space was laid out. We were really happy with the price we paid for such a great room. The included buffet breakfast was also great - really good selection of hot and cold food that set us up perfectly for the day. The location in central Jindabyne was perfect to access the lake and shops and the in-house dining options were good. Would definitely recommend staying here!
The facility was really clean ,new and all necessary things covered up which is appreciated. Rooms are equipped with things that offer online amenities . Good indoor games , ample space for cafeteria, buffet breakfast meal. Very much prefer to stay for sure even within budget at Jindabyne.
Great little motel which is ideally located in Jindabyne. Only a 30 minute drive to Perisher during the weekday.
Beds were clean and comfortable, shower had great heat and pressure. Drying room was perfect for skiing. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
Easy access via 2 car parks
What you pay is what you get, budget hotel. Suited our needs
A drying room for ski stuff would be great, impossible to bring wet ski stuff into the tiny room
Drive to village but that did not bother us at all.
Close to town, walking distance to eating and drinking venues.
Staff are excellent.
Studio rooms are very small,no view.
Very clean well maintained property,Caravan park has beautiful views of lake Jindabyne, lovely walking tracks.
It was literally the cheapest place I could find to take my 2 kids to the snow for two nights. Otherwise...well Meh... the room was super toasty upon arrival, well done on that. Otherwise very basic but honestly, does the job.
clean, comfortable just like home; wonderful breakfast, especially the scramble eggs; friendly and very helpful staff; perfect location, close to Jindabyne centre and ski tube station;
The check-in and check-out procedures are very smooth. The location is great (though it's Jindabyne so everything is very close anyway). The room is pretty good too.
