Lovely old home. Nice kitchen and eating area. Generally very clean, except for dirty carpets in our bedroom. Safe, well-kept neighborhood for walking.

He is very generous with the kitchen provisions and with information about the best tourist places to visit. We didn't see him much, but knew he was available if we needed him.

My Mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hamlyn House which is a clever combination of outstanding heritage features paired with stunning modern up-to-date ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining area afforded expansive views of Hobart surrounds as well as arterial roads leading into Hobart. Breakfast provisions were much appreciated. The self check-in/check-out was extremely convenient and allowed us to come and go as we pleased. On site parking was also a nice touch. The location was central to many attractions which were of interest to us both. Thank you so much to Belinda and Brendonthe for putting in so much effort to make Hamlyn House an enticing place to stay.

While not 'central', we enjoyed the location as it was right beside the Botanical Gardens and some nice walks. Matresses were excellent, room was spacious, facilities were very clean and the continental breakfast generous.

Hamlyn House was a perfect base for us to explore Hobart from. The welcome message from the host was really appreciated and the little breakfast basket and supplies in the fridge were a wonderful touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.
