Even being April no whale time , the 2 hour cruise well worth while seals dolphins other beaches ect. complicated intersections but generally nice town. Id go back for whale whatching i believe oct on ?

Been coming to Merimbula since I was very young. Was great to finally bring my young family! Absolutely love the food and beaches but mostly the people! Everyone is lovely and smiling. We stayed Mid February, just after the School Holidays ended, so the crowds would have been reduced. Still, there was a great "vibe" to the town, beaches, and surrounds. Merimbula was a great starting point to travel up & down the coast visiting other locales, such as Eden, Tathra, and the numerous beaches/parks/lakes along the Sapphire Coast.

Merimbula was suprisingly busy for a country town and traffic was at a standstill in the main downtown area at times. I don't know if this was normal for this time of the year (February). We did a number of day trips to surrounding areas such as Eden, Boydtown, Candelo and Tathra. We had hoped to visit Kameruka but it was closed to the public. Local seafood was good and the oysters, in particular, were delicious.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

The room was very clean and comfy. Parking was smooth and easy, right in front of the room. I especially enjoyed the large bathroom and the back veranda. The aircon was also good. Wifi didn't work so well. Merimbula is a great place for staying and relaxing. The beach boardwalk is beautiful. Nice shopping, restaurants, and cafes. We had a lovely breakfast at MorMors Cafe. The "Top Fun" amusement centre was also a great experience.

A place/ region we'd like to see more of. Coming from Victoria, it was not as busy as what we thought. I enjoyed doing a lot of walks especially the boardwalk trail. Easy to find your way around town. The Oysters are really fresh. try their oyster factories. don't fall for the $8 per dozen advert though. apparently they are real small oysters. ((probably shouldn't even be harvested). the $20/dozen are a good size. Try the Wheelers ( Pambula) restaurant. decent food.

Lounge tv couldnt use netflix and took a while for the bluray player to even connect but ended up fine. Not sure if ugot firmware restricting some features but all in all great place 7foot fences spot on for privacy being a backfront yard. Love the pictures, wall hangings etc. Garage was great for our paddle boards. The 5 of us and 2 dogs had a great time staying there, thanks. Internet was reallly good as well. Such a great place for people with pets.

Great unit - clean, large, and contained everything i needed for my stay. Great location - peaceful and everything close by (supermarket, restaurants, etc). Friendly staff, safe & secure - great for family stays also. Being honest, i really want to stay longer. Costs less than a hotel room, is better than a hotel room, & is like a home away from home.
