Airlie Beach never fails to impress me, gateway to Whitsundays. Airlie beach hotel is awesome for live music and fantastic food. Definitely recommend KCs too for their live music and awesome steaks. Airlie lagoon is a great spot to spend an hour or three swimming or just lazing about.

Always a good trip to Airlie.

Always a good trip to Airlie. Weather was a bit wanky but otherwise great, plenty to see and do regardless. If you are keen on some outdoor and open water activities, Airlie is the place to be. Family-friendly with a great night life for the single crowd, there's something for everyone. Plenty of great places to explore, a variety of food options, and an overall great town for the general day to day. Living less than 2 hours away does make it a go-to for a quick getaway, and choices range from camping to hotels to Air BnB stays, there really is a place to suit everyone. Town is always vibrant and busy with something going on.

What a great place to visit.

What a great place to visit. The weather is great, the town is abuzz with great bars and restaurants. The Airlie lagoon is a great place for kids to swim. The Coral sea marina is a magic place to hang out at night to relax and enjoy some fine dining. The Garden Bar, Sorrento and the Rocks are great places to start. Getting around Airlie is so easy. Taxis run constantly and are readily available. Most resorts run shuttles 3 to 4 times a day into the Airlie lagoon and airport transfers can be organised depending on the where you're staying.

    I Need Airlie Beach!

I Need Airlie Beach! It has destressed me many times after extreme personal or work stress. The view, the perfect water temps in unheated pools, the ten minute rain storms that give way to a perfect day. It is better to stay at Airlie Beach, in my opinion, than on the islands, as they offer greater amenities and diversity, plus you still have to charter a boat from an Island or the mainland anyway. Tip for the island resorts: Offer discounted or all inclusive water charter packages and advertise it heavily, or find yourselves derelict facilities bought by a Chinese Company. Always check the weather. Bad weather or Coral spawning night means poor water clarity. Don't swim where the locals won't, due to crocs and Wear your Stinger suit. A box jellyfish came within a foot of me a week ago before I saw it and I have been snorkelling since 1985, spending countless hours and a total of four weeks camping on Lady Musgrave Island. Don't book during the wet season if you are not prepared to be dissatisfied with a patch of bad weather. Do your research.

MICHELLE at reception is absolutely fantastic! She cannot do enough for you and we were grateful for her on a few occasions. The location is fantastic, so close to everything but far away to be out of the hustle and bustle, however, we visited in their quietest month of Feb. Yes the hill is very steep but it’s only a short hill. Beautiful views from the balcony!! Cheap and cheerful hotel if you’re on a bit of a budget. Quite outdated but clean. Would definitely come back as we had no issues at all

The location is great, other than being on the same property as the Magnums nightclub that is LOUD! I loved Airlie Beach and it's nice to have a cheaper accommodation available. It's nice to have a tea kettle and mini fridge in every room, as well as a full scale kitchen available. The grounds are nice, with lots of plants. It's adjacent to a big Woolworth's so that makes cooking easier. The bed comes with a sheet, which is nice, but the comforter is reused between people and was not clean.

What a treat was Mirage and Airlie Beach... truly one of the most wonderful vacations ever - the people at the hotel are absolutely charming and accommodating, genuinely interested in treating you like family, organising trips and basically trying to anticipate their guest's every single whim! Then add the Whitsundays in the mix... nothing can beat Paradise, can it! Thank you to Charlie and the team at The Mirage, we will cherish our memories for many years to come.

Pete is the nicest man I met on my travels from Melbourne to Airlie Beach. I was towing a large boat, Pete drove out from the property and guided me to wear to safely park the boat, and showed me where I was staying. He called to make sure I could find the place and was super friendly. I was amazed at the view from my room and it reminded me of a Bed and Breakfast I stayed in Rome, with the swimming pool inside! Great place - Thanks Pete!

The apartments were okay, needed some refurbishments. Our aircon was leaking on our first night and we mentioned it to reception the next day who moved our rooms promptly. Staff was nice and helpful. The property is in a good location - 10-15 minute walk to the main part of Airlie beach and all the shops. Isn’t long but can be brutal on very hot days. Our room had a nice view of the bay but not as nice as it looks on the pictures

Staff very helpful and friendly and very good quality/ price rate. Affordable accomodation in Airlie Beach, as most of the accomodations are expensive and the place is quite average, so I find that paying big amount was not worth it. That’s why I chose Kipara. The hotel has also a very good kitchen to prepare dinner. The WC was OK. The Whitsundays are very nice, but Airlie has nothing much.

No frills hotel/hostel which is right in the middle of Airlie Beach. Great base- we were able to leave luggage and return a few days later to pick it up. Next door to Woolies, convenient to stock up for the next part of our trip. Useful extras- eg. can print for 50c at front desk, there is a big shared kitchen etc

Just follow the instruction that was sent via email. Use coding to get the key. The email said it has 2 keys/duplicate key but when we arrived we got only 1 key. When finally going home, there's another set of key that they just put. I like being accessible to the main or heart of Airlie Beach.Excellent location.

Lovely staff, very accommodating, family run business. Adequate clean and comfortable accommodation. Good location to the shops but a bit of a walk to the beach, and a nice half hour walk along the marina into Airlie Beach or bus stop available close by. Great restaurant next door at the Mantra.
