Beautiful beaches, lovely people, a lot of culture and life, and of course the sea garden. Was there for a while and could be there for much longer. Can use different ways of transport to other places like big cities (sunny beach, Sofia, Plovdiv, Istanbul, Bucharest) or smaller areas with natures and monuments annd botanic gardens etc.
Going to go back, and everyone should visit Varna, the hidden gem

I spent three delightful days in Varna, all in the city center. But there is so much more to do outside of the city--beaches, architectural gems, archeological digs, old icon-filled monasteries, and so much more.

Pretty boring place! The beach was fine.
Pretty boring place! The beach was fine. City feels kind of spread out and big and industrial almost- I wouldn't choose to come here again, but my time was fine because of the people I met in my accomodation and because the sea is always nice to have a swim in.

Varna City has a very lively weekend nightlife, that offered many venue's and styles of music . From listening to dancing. The restaurants are open late into the evening serving until past midnight.
The hotel impressed us. It's true that its furnishings are older, but everything is clean, fresh, with towels and bedding changed daily, and daily cleaning. A peaceful location from which you can walk to several unspoiled beaches. If you don't like crowds, this is the right place for you. We were very impressed by the hotel's head chef. We tasted all the local specialties he prepared for us, and our enthusiasm knows no bounds. Excellent service, everything was perfect.
I had previously been to a 5 stars hotel but my mood there was only 1 star. This hostel has 1 star but my mood there was 5 stars. Yes, it's not super clean there. Yes, it’s noisy there because the seagulls scream like crazy in the morning. Yes, sometimes in the evening the hot water runs out because all wants a shower at the same time , but the people, the people that I met there are more than gold. I had so much fun! Love you Varna, Love you Nomado Hostel !
The hotel was beautiful on the inside with a lovely mezzanine staircase to rooms.
The breakfast had a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, cheese and cereals.
Our room was really big with aircon keeping it at a comfortable temperature.
The staff were really helpful with local information and keeping our bags after check-out.
The hotel has great location being a short walk from the train station and 4 minutes from the beach.
It was an unexpected wonderful surprise especially because it was a last minute booking for us, deciding quite suddenly to spend the weekend at the Bulgarian seaside. We were impressed with the warm welcome and hospitality. Big rooms, comfortable mattresses, sea view, outdoor pool that must be fun in the summer. Breakfast - tasty and plentiful, served in the rooms was such a nice thing to have! Thank you for everything!
This little boutique hotel is an absolute gem. The owner/operator Maggie goes above and beyond in every area. She went to the bank with me to help sort out some translation problems. Amazing! The location is delightful in the old Greek quarter, close to everything in town. The room was a suite on a corner of the building, full of light and ambiance. Breakfast was ample with a lot of variety.
The location is perfect, between Varna and Golden sands, it's quite and very nice
The room is well organized, nice decorated and well treated.
All appliance looks brand new.
It's just a couple of minutes walking from Kabakum beach which is beautiful, next to the mini-market and bus stop to both directions
There's a wonderful pool, the kids love it so much and could spend a few hours there.
Great location near so many restaurants and cafes and close to the beach. Also was very quiet at night. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The bed was the best one we’ve had so far in Bulgaria, no where near as soft as previous mattresses. AC in the room. Decent sized wardrobe where you can stash you luggage so it doesn’t clog up the room. Good shower/water pressure.
The location is perfect - 15-20 minutes walk to Varna city centre and beaches, Roman Thermae excavation site nextdoor! Very quiet neighbourhood. Several mini-supermarkets, bakeries and coffee shops in the vicinity.
The apartment itself is very nice and tidy. It has everything you need to be at home away from home.
We enjoyed our stay in the Roman Thermae apartment :)
Wonderful place to stay, if you want to admire the sea from the balcony and have a walk in the city center. Very warm and cozy atmosphere in the hotel, polite staff, comfortable beds and pillows, tasty breakfast. Hygiene and cleaness are on remarkable level. The beach and the park are exactly in front of the hotel.
We go to Varna quite often, but now we’ve finally found the best hotel in town. I didn’t expect the hotel to be this good. Every detail is made with love. It has everything you need and even more. The terrace and the view of the city are amazing! Thank you so much, Tony, I hope we will come back here again.
- location: within walking distance (up to 10 minutes) from the city center and beach
- spacious rooms, and comfy bed/sofa
- they do not offer parking on site, but right in front of the hotel you have Blue Zone parking with 1 leva/hour (max 3) or 16 leva for the whole day with night time parking free.
I had another great stay here.
Breakfast was alright. I´m surprised that a hotel this big and rated 4 star don´t have atleast a small gym.
All in all, I had a great time and the staff was very accomodating when we should up 6 hours before check in time.
It was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and ready to assist. I enjoyed staying at the room with the balcony. Next time I will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for making my trip to Bulgaria so warm.
We had an early flight out of Varna so we needed a hotel for just one (half) night after spending our holiday in the Bulgarian nature. This hotel was a good option. Nice clean room, parking below and fast connection by car to the airport.
There was a problem with the booking but we got a free stay at a different hotel for the first night. The location is good - right next to a bus stop, near a supermarket, and near the beach.
Not for the first time here, big choice of accommodation for any price. Best beach in Bulgarian seaside, supermarket and couple restaurants in 10-15 minutes walk
I like any booking.com manager who share with clients that the Family Hotel Varna is not accepted a booking confirmation number after 8pm if it is not printed
