Plovdiv is a city of contrasts, spanning many centuries.
Plovdiv is a city of contrasts, spanning many centuries. You can't help but stumble across history wherever you go. The centre is largely pedestrianised, making it easy to walk around, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as shops.
Highly recommend the the Free Plovdiv walking tour which starts every day at 11am from outside the town hall in the centre. Very informative and takes you to all the key locations, giving you a great starting point from which to explore further. Check out the Kapana area for food & drink and the Old Town.

I have stayed in Plovdiv 13 times and will go back many more... It is an important city historically, with around 8000 years of continuous inhabitation. Many interesting landmarks from so many periods of history. There's museums to see, roman stadiums to uncover, a roman theatre to enjoy a show at, historical sites from the neolithic age right through to the Ottoman Empire and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
It has a great restaurant and bar scene, with something for everyone. People are also very friendly. A nice place to relax, eat, and enjoy life for a little while.
Pretty much everything is walking distance of the centre and for the few place a bit further out there are taxis and busses readily available.

The city center is beautiful and clean.
The city center is beautiful and clean. Plovdiv has a nice and well kept old town. There are many interesting sites to visit and beautiful big parks. It's not as touristic as it should be. It seems that many cultural events are organized there.

Very affordable.
Very charming and cozy place to stay when in Old Town of Plovdiv.
New, very clean family hotel with a wonderful interior and exterior. Large bathrooms, comfortable beds, nice but not very spacious rooms. Parking spot in front of the hotel, good breakfast. Very professional, kind and helpful staff and owner. We arrived on a rainy evening and they were waiting for us with umbrellas and smiles! Appreciate it! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again on future trips.
The hotel is perfect and exceeded our expectations in everything :) They were able to provide us a room early and help accommodate a sleeping kid, helped with the luggage and all the additional questions we had. The breakfast was exceptional! The location and the view were also perfect. Also - the hotel is very very clean, and very cozy! We will definitely stay there once again when we visit Plovdiv, and highly recommend this place!
The location is superb. The hotel is located on one end of the pedestrian only walkway, close to Roman ruins, art galleries, a beautiful park the size of Central Park, and has with easy access to the historic old town.
The room was super clean. If you are disabled or mobility challenged ask for a room in a lower floor. The hostesses were pleasant and went out of their way to help me.
Great they have parking lot dedicated to hotel guests.
The reception personnel was very nice and helpful.
The location is great, close to all major attractions of the old town, but also to some supermarkets and fruits market.
Our room was facing the inner garden of a nearby property, very quiet, so we really rested during our stay.
A gem of a hotel. Small, family run quirky hotel in a fantastic location in the old town. Owner lovely & very helpful despite our very limited Bulgarian. Nice size room & good size bathroom with hot shower. Our friends came by car & the secure parking was a real bonus. So near to everything - museums/ Roman ruins / bars & restaurants
The young lady on reception was extremely helpful and very welcoming. We were the only two guests in the hotel We were able to park our car inside the hotel yard behind secure gates. The breakfast provided for us was excellent and very good value. Probably the best breakfast we have had in any hotel in Bulgaria.
A superb stay from start to finish. The owner emailed me before I arrived giving me directions from the station. I was met with a warm greeting and welcome cup of tea. The room was charming and the hotel is well sited in the old town. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of tasty homemade food. Well recommended.
I stayed here for the second time, the place i excellent for a Plovdiv stay as it is in the center (Kapana area) and everything is very close. This time I was going to arrive very late so the hotel gave me the option to self check-in which wqs very nice of them and very suitable for me. Thanks for that :)
Great 4 stars Hotel in excellent location close to the central promenade and the Old Town. Breakfast was excellent with lot of choices. Free underground parking for hotel guests. There were a lot of facilities in the room: minibar, electric kettle, safety box, hair drying fan, air conditioning.
Very convenient location a few steps from old town with parking possibilities close by. The shop next door is open around the clock so one can fetch a drink or snack any time. We had a relaxing breakfast in the small outside area. One of the best value stays on our Bulgaria trip.
A pet friendly hotel that offered a Room that was very clean , modern and to a high standard. Location was excellent and couldn’t be better for visit to central district and old town. Parking is limited but staff was very helpful when a parking space became available.
This was a brilliant hotel! The location is perfect in the Old City, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely worth it! I strongly recommend it for a visit to Plovdiv, I wish we could spend more than one night there.
Best Botique hotel in Bulgaria. Great ambience, personal touch and attitude towards meeting the guests. perfect location (2 min from Main Street, Plovdiv theater) and amazing view towards the ancient theater and old town.
