I went to Songhai Agric set up at PortNovo. Nice experience, though not as vibrant as it was about ten years ago when I was there. I ceased the opportunity to visit Cotonue. The unfairly depreciated Naira value made every thing too expensive. I like the simplicity of the people and will visit again when the Naira value normalises.
I would have loved to visit the beach but did not due to the cost. I could not find standard eateries even after roaming with a motorcyclist for over one hour. We reluctantly settled to eat at a very local Nigerian kitchen. I expect standard Restaurants like Mr Bigs

I am truly impressed by the development so far and the pace of further infrastructural development. I stayed by a sea resort and seeing people in particular children come out in the evening for leisure exercise and skating was a joy. I was not harassed nor did I feel threatened in any way. I take my hat off to the government and the people. Well done

Cool and nice environment.
Cool and nice environment. The people were courteous and approachable. A few of them could speak English Language but majority are French speaking. More of Bikes than Cabs. There are many tourist places to visit.

You have to stay at hotel Paquebot near the embassies. They made my travelling a dream. They helped me set up all my day trips to Abomey, Ouidah, the markets, everything! They have a great patio to sit and relax and watch the world go by. The rooms are air conditioned and quiet and clean.

I love the peace and tranquillity!
I love the peace and tranquillity! No one is rushing anywhere nor in a competition with you. The city is quite laid-back in a good way. Things are quite expensive over there tho..food, bottle water and the likes but it's understandable.

The shuttle on arrival was not available even though I requested it since I landed very early in the AM. I also noticed AC was not working properly when I arrived. The internet connection was not very stable as I was constantly working from my room. I had to joggle between the data from my phone and the Wifi.
The location is the best place for peace & quiet. The breakfast was everyday bread & omelette with tea or coffee which was rather monotonous. Other breakfast options should be explored. The Shawarma & Hamburger were the best things I ate from the hotel.
The staff and owner were too pleasant! The owner would always chat you up, ask questions to be sure you’re good.
The Wi-Fi connection is good, extends to the beach part but may not turn up strong when in your room
My bed was big & comfortable 😁
All of the staff were really good, helpful and most spoke English well. Feels like they were trying to constantly improve the place and service, all positive. Was a great base to explore Cotonou and surrounding areas. ‘Local’ area with bus station to Porto Novo nearby and other amenities within walking distance. Room very comfortable with great AC, fan sand shower. Breakfast was good but a bit awkward with it being a buffet but you are served by staff. They offer free airport pick-up too.
The entire staff was amazing! That is hospitality at its best. Restaurant honored its name by providing delicious food at anytime. The owner/manager, Mr. Barthelemy went above and beyond to make sure we had pleasant stay. Now, he is a friend. The location might be issues for some guests (travel to the main city area), but with GoZem, I managed well. I do recommend this location. Thank you all.
My wife and daughter spent 6 nights in this Hotel & Restaurant. A true gem in Cotonou. The Hotel room is spacious and very well appointed with a clean modern decor. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely amazing and the staff were so kind and welcoming. They had a wonderful stay in this Hotel and highly recommend it!
When you talk about Comfort and a Sense of Being Home, BB Chez Rita is that one place that comes to mind.
The host Mrs. Jocelyn and her Staff made traveling so relaxing, till the end of our stay in Cotonou.
We would rate BB Chez Rita 200% if there's anything like that😁🥰.
All the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and special. Aime really helped me and my fiance out while there. He was so nice and I made a really good friends with him. Very special hotel and the staff is awesome. Would not hesitate to book here again.
The hotel lied about its rooms and rates. When I got there, they told me all rooms are 26 000 and if I cannot pay, I should go away.
They do this because they are using the advantage of the Internet and the tourists most likely not having a choice upon arrival
The room was absolutely spotless and the personnel very welcoming and gentle.
We loved our stay in this beautiful hotel.
Additionally it's in a very safe area, which makes the stay even more pleasant. Would definitely recommend it!
SMy amount was deducted from booking.com and I have again paid at the hotel I have requested them to refund back my amount that they have debited from my credit card but their is no response
Karls is in a great location near a bunch of embassies. Good restaurants are nearby, grocery stores, ATMs, and plenty of moto-taxis. Friendly and helpful staff!
