La Selenita is a unique place which offers you a little piece of countryside in Sucre’s historical center, with an unforgettable view upon the White City, los Frailes cordillera and it’s two emblematic mountains, Sica Sica and Churuquella. Our four independent cottages are located in the middle of a flowered garden, where you can rest looking at the panoramic view. La Selenita is located at only ten minutes by foot of Plaza 25 de Mayo, Sucre’s main square. Created in 2012 after 20 years in Bolivia by Richard Bourgogne, hobo artist, and Maité Verheylewegen, anthropologist, La Selenita offers you peace, a unique view over the city and some gourmet breakfast !
Our goal is to make you feel here, like home. Every morning, we use our garden's fruits: the breakfast is 100% homemade (jelly, juice and french bread). Richard's painting are decorating the place, from the rooms to the kitchen. We take care of the garden so the birds can sing all day long and stay with you. What a day to rest ! Home sweet home.
La Selenita is located in the central area, but higger than the city center, only 10 mintues walking from it. In a peacefull one-way street far from pollution and car noises, the kindness of the neigbhours and the calm of the street will suprise you. However, La Selenita is close to one of Sucre's main street, the calle Bolivar (20 meters), also, to an another curiosity, the Pacific War Staireway (133 stairs). Don't worry, you don't have to climb it !
