The apartment is located in the heart of Ipanema, one of the best neighborhoods in Rio (if not the best!) to live and visit. It’s only a short walk (three blocks) from Ipanema Beach. The unit is bright and spotless. Wi-fi is included. Supermarkets, bars, restaurants, and boutiques are all walking distance from the apartment. The apartment building is gated and its front desk is staffed 24/7. Parking for one car is included with your rental.

I live next door, and greatly enjoy welcoming my guests—and providing them with whatever assistance they may need, including maps of the area and information on how to get around. Whether you are comfortable exploring the city on your own or would appreciate some guidance and suggestions, I’ll do everything within my reach to make sure you have a wonderful experience in Rio and benefit the most from your stay. Ipanema is a delightful neighborhood. Its world-renowned beach starts at the rocks of Arpoador Beach—where you can see the most beautiful sunsets in Rio—and ends in Leblon, another cool residential neighborhood. On Sundays, the road closest to the beach is closed to traffic so residents can enjoy more space for walking, bicycling, or jogging. Local attractions include the Hippie Fair, held every Sunday at a nearby park, which features a large assortment of arts and crafts (jewelry, paintings, clothes, and more) created by local artists. On Tuesdays, join the locals in buying fresh produce at great prices at a large farmer’s market held in that same park. Although the apartment is in a residential street lined with old trees, it is walking distance from supermarkets, drugstores, shops, restaurants—everything you need. You can easily spend your entire trip here without having to get in a car. But if you want to explore further, you can easily hail a yellow cab on the street right in front of the building—or hop on the subway across the road.
