This is a charming property with three rooms, each in a separate building. There is a garden and a common area with a full kitchen, eating and games area. The staff and owner are very friendly, helpful and supportive. The location is away from the activity of the city center, but also within walking distance. The wonderful rooms are air conditioned with mini-fridges, full bath rooms.
Boasting a swimming pool, Pousada Mirante de Areia offers practical rooms and free parking, just 0.6 mi from trendy Itaúnas Beach. Surrounded by gardens, some of the rooms feature a balcony.

Great staff... Helpful and friendly... Cozy... Family environment... Obrigado
The village is lovely. There are a lot of options to eat and entertainment, however, he prices are high. The sand dunes are amazing and the beach is good too. Remember to go early as when the high tide comes is virtually impossible to go into the sea. I also visited the riacho doce beach and it is enchanting. There are 3 bars and the prices here are high but the scenery is breathtaking.

beautiful nature, nice waves depending on incoming swell but very clean and not much currents. dunes are very relaxing. the village itself is very quiet and no surprise after needing 30km of no-pavented roads full of holes. in rain season only 4x4 would be able to drive

Itaunas is a small, quiet and chilled out town close to the Espirito Santo/Bahia border. It has sand dunes, wetlands, and a beach (all within walking distance of accommodation and restaurants). One can go on day trips to other beaches further afield for a bit of variety - subject to driving conditions.
Access to Itaunas is as of yet via an unpaved road (though at least part of it was in the process of being paved when we were there), as is access to anywhere else (e.g. other beaches). When it's been raining a lot, as it was over January 2020, the roads get very muddy and treacherous for regular cars (and even 4WD if driven by men trying to prove how manly they are, which nearly all seem to be). Driving in Espirito Santo's roads is a bit of a challenge at the best of times as no one seems to respect traffic laws (partly, perhaps, due to unrealistically low maximum speed limits).
