Unfortunately after using booking.com for many years my dispute with the owner of this apartment was not resolved, booking.com recognised that being threatened at the property was unacceptable and spoke to the owner and were not able to instruct the owner to refund my 3 days left on this booking and in this I feel they have supported the owner and not the traveller. I was offered €50 from booking.com, which is an insult to the outstanding amount of €176 which i feel where safty is an issue for a traveller at the accommodation that is hoated on their platform that they should be with an overriding power to resolve this in favour of the traveller who is at risk. Apparently the owner said he offered me another accommodation and this appeased booking.com who did not research this only took the owner word, the other accommodation was not given to me as an option and the only other accommodation the owner has is 14 kilometres outside of the town of Paracuru and I do not have a car, or public transport is not available on this route so how can this be of any use to me? I feel so bad about this I will protest by never using booking.com again and will use the internet to get this message across to other travellers every day of 2020 that booking.com is just a advertisement site for accommodation and offers no protection for the traveller. There are plenty of other platforms that offer security with your booking and I will resort to these in the future. What a shame as I have been a customer for almost 20 years.

Paracuru is a quiet town, best known for kitesurfers.
Paracuru is a quiet town, best known for kitesurfers. We stopped here on our way to Jericoacora however we’ll be stopping for a few more nights on the way back. Beautiful beaches and sand dunes! If you’re into kitesurfing, this is the place to be!AndreasNorway
