This is the best hotel on the idyllic Morro de Sao Paulo and it's the place we'll always remember as I proposed to my girlfriend on the balcony to the sound of the waves below. She said yes!
It's located at the end of the first beach with stunning views across first and second beach. The hotel is maintained to a very high level, breakfast is delicious and you couldn't hope for nicer people to welcome you than Andre and Alejandro.

Everything was spot on. Very clean room, great breakfast with great staff and sea view. Check in and check out was very smooth. The staff in the restaurant also very friendly and all played with my 7 month baby. The owner was very lovely and there every day. Love how the beach is at your door step and also the hotel has 6 chairs with table by the beach that they can reserve for you.
Would definitely recommend and also stay there again.

Breakfast was simple but delicious and with a very nice presentation! We were searching a quiet place not too close from the movida of the city in Morro and in the 4th beach it's really quiet. The hotel offers free pick-up and free rides from/to the village (with a timetable) which has to be considered for reching the location, unless you really like to walk.
The personal was very helpful and kind. Rooms comfortable and modern and I liked also the view to the pool in the middle of the complex. I really enjoyed our stay even if it was very short. Ah, I also suggest to make the trilha to Gamboa from the Pousada, it was nice and Gamboa is an highlight in the island for me <3

It's a beautiful place but too crowded and expensive.
It's a beautiful place but too crowded and expensive. If you are looking for parties and drinking all day long, that's the place. The gastronomy options are diverse and costly. The structure of the village is OK, good public services, however, the TUPA (tourist fee) is too expensive.

Beautiful beaches with lots of restaurants and shops.
Beautiful beaches with lots of restaurants and shops. We took a catamaran over from Salvador because our flight was cancelled. The catamaran ride is 2.5 hours and a bit choppy. We flew back to Salvador. Flight was efficient and very nice.

Beautiful island with a great vibe. Good restaurants and bars. The second beach is perfect for a relaxing day. Everything is accessible in Morro with no shortage of activities and opportunities for adventure on the water too.
It feels like a safe place to holiday and the locals are very friendly and welcoming.

While you have the beauty and feeling of a relaxing tropical island, there is enough to do such as island hops, ocean zipline, sunset cruises, walks to and from Gamboa beach, scuba diving etc. You do not get bored. The seafood available on the island is amazing and a huge highlight. But the best thing about the island was the amazing local people. A magical spot.

A lovely place even if crowded at the popular end--1st, 2nd & 3rd beaches but as Anima is on 4th it is quiet and undisturbed.
Worth the 2.5 hr water crossing. Morro is on the land side of the island and within a reef so calm and shallow water.

It is an awesome place to go relax and party.
It is an awesome place to go relax and party.
For parties you have to pay between $35-$100 Brazilian reals.
There is lots of food options and small stores around.
It is not “cheap” there like we thought.
The only thing we disliked was that to transfer from the airport of Salvador de Bahia to Morro de São Paulo it was about 5 hrs.

The hosts are very friendly and always happy to help. The lovely apartment has an equipped kitchen and television (even with Netflix). It was way bigger and more comfortable than many places I stayed before and after in Brazil. There is a hammock on the front porch. The beach is amazing, I liked the 4th beach way more than the first 3. If you are looking for a quiet time, this or the fifth beach are the places to be. You can safely walk (all night long) to the first three beaches (roughly 30 minutes till the 3rd beach).
Morro is small and the property is pretty close to the Main Street with restaurants/bars/shops and even in front of the apartment you find all that and more. The place is spacious, AC worked, Wifi worked very well, loved the balcony, private entrance. The hosts were great, very responsive and accommodating. It felt like home. Keep it mind it’s not a hotel and mosts rental in Bahia places provide basic bed sheets. Definitely recommend it and absolutely would stay there again.

Via das Pedras is one of the best Pousadas in Morro de São Paulo. Excellent location, very quiet and calm, beautiful grounds, the Superior rooms are huge with a very comfortable bed, great breakfast with lots of options, the pool area is great as well, staff is always friendly and helpful. They have chairs for free at the beach in front of the hotel where they also serve food and drinks from the hotel restaurant. I would go back.
I picked pousada Halai randomly mainly to escape the Carnaval confusion in Salvador. I was pleasantly surprised by the location, Gamboa, at Morro de São Paulo but very pleased with the Halai pousada. Alllesandra, the proprietor, was extremely congenial, helpful, and efficient as well as her staff. And, the beaches are quite good surrounded by greenery with a quaint village of friendly locals and cantinas.
The hotel is composed of a few very comfortable bungalows. The view form the porch is beautiful, full of greenery everywhere. Lots of trees and clean air. The hotel is within a few meters from the main street and center of the village while in a quiet and peaceful location. Staff helpful and and savvy about the island, providing interesting tips.
The views are spectacular, big room with a terrace and a kitchen. Its VERRY difficult to get to the hotel. You have to walk a long way the road is precarious, dark, you have to climb to g to get there.
There is no food service available they don't even give you shampoo.
the place is beautiful but with these drawbacks
The staff is great. You will get excellent service from everyone from the reception to restaurants.
Hotel is charming, we spent 5 minutes everyday talking to the birds.
Food is good, good breakfast table.
Rooms look good and they keep it clean.
Well located and you can walk to all restaurants.
The hotel is super clean and has an incredible view from every room. The service is also top-notch, and we had excellent sleeping nights.
It was great to return to a clean room every evening after a day at the beach. The AC is always working, and some refreshing air welcomed us.
The location (on first beach) is incredible - at the centre of everything. Second beach (wonderful for young children) is a 5-10 min amble away. This hotel has tables with umbrellas on the beach & is surrounded by cute cafes & charming shops.
Rooms are clean & breakfast is good.
Exceptional place, staff, hotel, room, food, breakfast, everything amazing. It's not close to the city but for the purpose of enjoying the beach in front of the hotel and relax is amazing. But they have a shuttle to the city in case you want to visit and spend the day there.
Complete resort vibes! Such a relaxing hotel. Great pool with an ocean view - perfect to watch the sunset over a drink. Delicious breakfast. On-site restaurant. Comfortable rooms and good service. Quiet area and walking distance to beach 2 if you're looking for trouble :)
What I most loved about the place was the location! We were tired from out trip to Morro de São Paulo and the streets there are very steep. Pousada Natureza was right at the beginning so we didn't have to walk a lot to get there. The view was also phenomenal!
I was impressed with the breakfast. It is amazing, a great variety of brazilian treats. And everyday there are different options to choose from. I also like their Pizza, they serve Pizza in the restaurant only on Tuesday and Saturdays.
The hotel is very well located and the view from the room is beautiful, it's so close to the sea that we could hear the waves, and we really enjoyed it. We also liked the terrace with the hammock.
The breakfast was very good.
I love everything from the personal until the nature around the hotel. The breakfast was incredible and change a bit everyday, good swimingpool and commun areas, the room was incredibly good!!
O equipe foi ótimo! The hotel was in the middle of everything which is so convenient. Beautiful ocean view, good breakfast and everyone is so welcoming and nice.
