I loved the locals, the culture, the beach, and the homeless people I fed while I was there. I liked the old center, the city in general I liked Olinda, and old town nearby that I should recommend. I like the Assai Supermarket and the Shopping Rio Mar. The Outlet restaurant at the shopping. The people are tall, beautiful, nice artists. I loved Recife and Porto de Galinhas and Praia dos Carneiros where I bought a flat. I live in Brasília, but have many friends in Araçatuba, São Paulo, where I was born and raised. They will all be in my flat when it is ready in 3 years.

Recife used to be a beautiful city but crime and a bad economy made the city one of the less pleasant experience. Many shark attacks happen in two of the major beaches, Boa Viagem and Piedade. All the coast has sign alerting that swimming is not recommended. I don’t see a point of ever visiting this place again.

Big city vibes, but with some nice parks and green areas and also the river that give a bit of alternative scenery. Some nice small museums, the beaches are nothing special, ask locals to show you spots for the evening/night.

Recife is just not my cup of tea. I actually hate it.
Recife is just not my cup of tea. I actually hate it. I only travel there for work. The city itself is chaotic. It stinks and is dirty everywhere - pollution is everywhere for you to see. Also, I hate its culture - people in the streets are mean and unpolite most of the time. It is a very unsafe city. I would never recommend anyone to visit it unless you are a Brazilian who is familiar with dangerous metropolis and know exactly where you're getting yourself into.

Recife and surrounding areas and regions offers you everything you need, no matter what type of vacation you want. You don't have to go very far from city to nature experiences, to beach to surfing to shopping or even jump in a parasuit. You can find it all in Recife and Perambuco.

Recife is a great city to visit with plenty of options for entertainment, restaurants, and sight seeing. Great beach culture. Plenty of vendors on the beach. You get a beach chair and an umbrella for free in exchanging of ordering something to drink or eat. Even if you only order a coconut water (served chilled and fresh inside of the coconut) counts and you can chill for hours on the chair. Recife offers plenty of options for day trips to the surrounding areas. Eco, cultural, bike, hiking, sight seeing (e.g. to Olinda), or beach trips, you name it. I would recommend spending some days in Recife, heading south to Porto de Galinhas, Carneiros, etc. and returning to Recife for the final day/s, if you need the local airport to continue your journey.
The size of the room and the free upgrade so we had a view over the ocean. Breakfast was really nice too, there was a lot of variety of food to choose from and the breakfast area was spacious. The location of the hotel, very close to the beach was good. We took an Uber to get to nice restaurants in the surroundings.
Susana is actually the best employee we encountered. My husband was feeling dizzy,, his blood pressure was high. The hotel had no gear to measure blood pressure. Susanna ran to the farmacy and bought a high blood pressure device out of her own pocket. Stayed with us and was great support.

The apartment is very well located in Recife. although you can’t swim in Boa Viagem, you can walk in the neighbourhood and there are many restaurants around.
The view is beautiful and there’s a lot of wind. We were able to cook and chill. The bed was comfortable.
Booking.com should make clear that this is not a hotel, but a room in what used to be a hotel owned privately. The person/company that owns the place absolutely makes no effort to clarify anything or help you in any way. Seriously???
The food was amazing. They serve some healthy but delicious menu and for the first time I wasn’t kept waiting for an hour to eat at a hotel. It was fast, fresh, healthy and very tasty.
very close to the airport in Recife, as I had a early flight on the next day I only booked it to crash for at least few hours before the flight.
It is cheap, easy to check in and or
The location is very good for those who need to go to the airport. Nice rooftop. Overall it is ok as a business hotel. Very appreciated the fact that there is no carpet in the room.
The hotel is relatively well maintained with good facilities (including gym and swimming pool). The breakfast was good. The room was exceptionally clean.
