What an amazing place.
What an amazing place. For me Cumbuco is just the right size. No huge buildings, yet the town is big enough to offer all the things you need. They have a very cool boardwalk in the evenings where they sell crafts. There is a burger joint called Armadillo Burger & Grill which had very good bands most every night and good food and drinks at a decent price. The real deficiency of the town is the roads, they are in terrible shape. However, most places you can get on foot and it is only in the town of Cumbuco that they are bad. Cumbucu is wonderfull, local people are kind and helpfull. Very good cafe mania and restaurants. Dream beaches. Water from sea very nice. Pousada MEUS AMIGOS KITESURF very close to the Beach. Only 150 m. The pousada is in the middel of the town. Shops and restaurants only 100 m from pousada. I love Cumbucu.

A chilled out coastal resort, warm waters and great waves. Good facilties if you get to the centre of town. Don't bother with the Muda restaurant, it's good but madly badly over-priced. Many other offerings to try, experiment!

It's an amazing resort, all inclusive.
It's an amazing resort, all inclusive. The employees were beyond expectation, very helpful and professionals, from front desk, bartenders, environmental personal to the monitors. The activities were very diversified and fun. The rooms are spacious but need some upgrades. The Wi-Fi system is very outdated and only available at the lobby, which for the huge property is very inconvenient. The restaurant beside the pool is a little annoying, since the smell of food is present all day while you enjoying the huge pool. The little village is nothing to write home about, but it is...
The little village is nothing to write home about, but it is safe and has enough life to entertain everybody. It has a few markets, but I 'd recommend going to the one you walk in through an upwards ramp. You can find an ATM inside as well. What I loved the most was the immense beach that at certain points was extremely peaceful. We went during the "low season" ( August ) but the weather was fine still. It is quite windy, but it doesn't bother you and helps cool things off a bit from the blazing sun.JoãoBrazil - 8.0Scored 8.0

Cumbuco has great kite surfing and lots of small hotels. We stayed at Vila Coqueiros and it was lovely. Very thorough kite surfing instruction. Met people from all over the world there for the kite surfing. Downtown Cumbuco doesn't seem to have much to offer but we didn't go there much. First time we tried to eat downtown, credit card wasn't accepted although I had just used it at the local supermarket for snack stuff. Had this happen several times but the other proprietors always fixed. Be prepared to run into that problem.

It’s located just a 5min wall from the village, besides being right next to the beach. But the best quality of Controvento is the staff. The owners go out of their way to make sure every guest is well treated. The made me one of the very best Quiche Lorraine I ever ate, besides fantastic fruit juices. Super friendly staff and owners who ensured our stay was as great as possible and accommodated all our requests. The suite rooms on the first floor overlooking the courtyard and pool are hard to beat, amazing view of greenery and palm trees and we even had a glimpse of the sea. No complains whatsoever, would definitely stay there again!

Staff is also very warm and helpful. In spite of the inclement weather, we enjoyed our time in great deal due to our cozy cabin, with hammocks and an outside downstairs living room. Good internet.

It has lovely staff that makes you feel at home. It’s not a party place with loud music and drunk guests thus you get some high quality sleep here. We particularly loved all the green. It was close to Vila Coquieros which had a great environment for kiting, but still was further away from the center and the horde of kiters there. I also love the hammock. There was three different spots to hang the hammock!
