I traveled to São Miguel with my partner and a friend by car after spending Carnaval in Recife/Olinda. We wanted to chill out/relax and enjoy the beaches of Alagoas. We stayed for 5 days and São Miguel was a great resting point for our trip as we were able to have easy access to lots of beaches by car. The longest trip we made was to Maragogi for the day were we did a boat trip to visit the natural pools (however São Miguel also offers these trips). If you are looking for a quiet, undisturbed beach experience I would definitely recommend São Miguel however if you prefer a little more infrastructure (i.e. bars along the beach, different restaurants) I would recommend staying in Maragogi.

It’s not the most beautiful beach in Alagoas but it is quiet and gives the possibility to relax. A two-days stay will be enough if you want to know this place. The restaurant Marvin was amazing! It’s very close to the beach and has a great atmosphere and amazing food. Totally recommended!

The owner and all the staff go above expectations and do everything possible to make you feel at home and looked after. All the staff are so friendly and make you feel so comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, the food is great and the beach set up is amazing. We were very sad to leave but grateful for our time there. I highly, highly recommend everyone to stay here!

The staff is super friendly and thoughtful about every detail. They left daily snacks and cute notes in our room everyday after cleaning. The food was delicious as well as the cocktails. Last, but certainly not least, the hotel is located in front of a calm and breathtaking beach (and they do offer beach service).

The area was pretty calm and looked like a small farm in the middle of the city and really near of the beach. I really recommend this place and the beaches in São Miguel dos Milagres was the most beautiful I've ever seen.
