Beautiful place in the mountains.
Beautiful place in the mountains. Lots of possibilities for treking. I really recommend Cachueira da Fumaça and centre of the city Caeté Açu. I travelled by a car - the road was sometimes a little bit difficult to ride.

Very beautiful place very calm!
Very beautiful place very calm! And with very easy access to hikes around the area! I did the Fumaça waterfalls and it was amazing, easier than expected and the views were incredible! I did it solo, very easy hike but I do recommend having offline maps just in case. Hostels are a great way to meet fellow travelers.

My husband and I travelled to Vale do Capão and also to another places from Chapada Diamantina more than once and we would like to go back there always. There is a lovely place to take a rest, to contemplate the nature, to do the trackings we love to do and to recharge our energyes! We reccommend a lot to try on!

Beautiful scenery at end of long, arduous drive.
Beautiful scenery at end of long, arduous drive. Experience totally ruined by Camping Garifuna playing loud vibrating music for most of our 2 night weekend stay. “Music” could be heard clearly in my Pousada 2 blocks away.
